  1. Depending on the timeline and intent of the Saudi machinations, the EU could enforce the deal to go through as per the terms before the Embracer annual report. Clearly looked like Savvy was aiming to tank Embracer by pushing the deal to pick up the bits it wanted for cheap…

  2. The Cyberpunk news reminded me of that Internet Historian bit: "That, is not how journalism is done…THIS is how JOURNALISM is done!"
Programmer: "Guys, make sure your rig is up to par for the upcoming update."
Journalists: "Guys, your PC will EXPLODE if you play this game!"

  3. Ever since Starfield, for entirely obvious reasons, No Mans Sky pops up again all over the place and I must say… I still for some reason dont see the appeal.
Let me be honest, I also dont have Starfield, but the offset the internet tries to generate via elevating NMS… I still can't see it. To me the game still comes acros as a vast space where you can do sooo much, of which nothing matters a damn thing.
People can call me out for this, but thats what it is.

And with regards to Cyberpunk 2077, cant wait to fire it up again in about a week.

  4. No matter who they go to, I can't trust Gearbox anymore, BL3 was…..questionable at best in it's writing and characters, New Tales from The Borderlands I hear wasn't good either, and then they go and absorb the people who made the recent Saints Row reboot?, Nuh uh, don't trust them….

  5. No-Man-Sky did good and all , but overall with all updates it is very low statisticly, you can do steam chart comparison StarField to no-man-sky at release dates, then overall , so either way people saying that StarField shit game no man sky better or something — well you can't argue with data that has been provided. Either way bethesda type of rpg making ' it just works' though it has many flaws I can't defend it at all — but people tend to forgive the flaws because game just pulls you in and you just lost in it

  6. I am pretty sure a ton of players that got Starfield and realized it is a loading screen to do anything game later learned that No Man's Sky lets you actually travel from planet to space and do actual space exploration so they went to that game instead. One of my friends did that and he had never played No Man's Sky before

  7. 2:36 Honestly, has been revealed to everyone that Embracer is less of an actual game publisher and more of a bubble scheme for investments, that actually barely make any profits from the game development despite throwing billions into purchases. Now that the 2 billion dollar Saudi deal failed you have Embracer closing down studios and firing people left and right.

  8. I think an issue with Starfields expectations is the existence of other games of it's type (Space). When you have an indie studio that lets you land anywhere on the planet and walk over it's whole on foot, the natural expectation is that a AAA game also set in space will let you do that. Bethesda had to temper the expectations themselves otherwise people would feel robbed, but of course they can't do that, they don't dare lower the hype of their own game even if the hype is for something that doesn't exist. When a game is indie doing something like Skyrim, the devs don't need to temper the expectations, the people waiting for the game already do that, knowing it's indie. They often get surprised it does it better then a AAA game but it's weird when a AAA company would need to say "There is no way we can do this like this little indie company so don't expect what that game does"

  9. It's funny, I just tried starfeild a couple days ago, and although I've been loving the experience, for the core gameplay. It makes me want to go play no man's sky. Mostly due to the redundancy of starfeild's mechanics, or the vast majority of them anyway. If you want a perfect example of feature creep destroying a what could of been a masterpiece, starfeild is it. Fast travel, more workbenches than skyrim releases, ext… But, where it hits it hits hard, which is the core gameplay, but the space ship is made redundant due to fast travel. I'll never understand why they'd choose slow sluggish space craft and fast travel over fast paced quick space combat that feels great. Maybe it's just the starting ship, but even nms has cargo haulers and weaker ships, but they're fun to fly. Starfeild… starfeild needed a nother year, and a competent head, whether that's project lead or ceo idk, but someone somewhere pushed bogged down features and forgot that rpgs need to be emersive, so fast travel needs to be limited. And they need to strip away all but 3 workbenches, armor, guns, and cooking? Sure, but a workbenches to craft parts for the other benches? Medical could be combined with cooking or even handled via inventory. Games been hinting at ship crafting, which would be excellent if the space flight didn't feel like ass. And I get that most of space is empty, but they created a world full of space explorers and pirates, I don't understand why they made it so boring. Still, it's better than the outer worlds, never could get into that one, no matter how hard I'd tried.

  10. On release No Mans Sky was, from a corporate perspective, a HUGE success. It was a tiny dev team with extremely low operating cost that made millions selling people an idea, not a game.

    But.

They honestly wanted to include everything they promised, they massively overestimated their development capacity and came up hugly short, most companies would have just pulled the plug and taken the profits, but hello games truly intended to provide a game, not just make profit.

So with no monetary gain they picked themselves up, dusted themselves off and went back to work. No more promises, just an honest effort and hard work to finish the game.

But other companies saw this profit from selling players a unfinished game and began investing hugely in marketing gsmes, not finishing games. Then after the lie is revealed, the just dump the ip and run with the money, or CHARGE for features initially promised in the base game. (Looking at YOU fallout 76)

No man's sky is an example of overconfidence, but benevolence. but they accidentally created an industry standard of manipulation and misleading.

  11. No mans sky was decent but too many kids saying its better than startfield. No mans sky is good if you want to aimlessly go around space like minecraft without the mining. But starifeld has a better narrative and story. How ever if you want a better space game then play space engineers.

  12. First time playing no man’s sky.
On a planet, literally in the introduction, kept dying because it wouldn’t tell me what to do or what I was suppose to do.

Turned me off so bad I haven’t looked back 😂 glad everyone else enjoys it though.

  13. 7:19 well hey, could have been worse? (or better depending on personal prefrences) Rammstein – Feuer Frei! would be fitting too! But seriously, this is something ppl should do anyways. making sure their pcs is in a good working condition, that includes cooling solutions. but will pcs catch fire? probably not since "most" components has max thermals and so on 😛 (looking at you asus)
