I'm a cleaner, so the crown sport for hauling all my crap. Kinda wish Toyota would design a real competitor for the Outback though.
Sorry, neither would be my choice. I am a naturally aspirated fossil fuel engine guy … love V6 and V8 engines. I own a 2023 Camry XSE V6. With synthetic oil of OW-8 being used and hard to come by in the new powertrain type for Crown will be experimental as best for people to wait 2 to 3 years giving Toyota time to resolve problems with the Crown the Clown. I'd rather buy a Lexus any day than the Crown.
No pure ICE option would be a mistake.
Between the two pictured, I have to go with the Crown because of the increased height. Six feet plus, bad knees, no squating. Getting out of my sister-in-law's ES350 is torture.
I think you need to reverse engineer the Highlander into a Camry car. It might have Crown elements but it's not going to look perfect. It will have some weird bulgy areas.
A 340HP TRD Hybrid camry would be amazing

Great information Kirk. I hope that they increase the power output for sure. Also, add e-AWD. And for Pete’s sake, a memory driver’s seat…Not sure why they did not offer that on the 8th gen in North America. I certainly hope that they don’t make it dull on the exterior like the new Accord.

What if the next-gen Camry had the following?:
* Interior similar to the bZ4X a.k.a. RAV4 EV but even radical
* Even radical exterior design
* Flush-mounted door handles (Those for the next-gen Lexus ES may instead be similar to the ones on the outgoing LC sports car)
* A full-blown GR version targeting the Alfa Romeo Giulia QV and BMW M3 just to make the Honda Accord very, very worried
* A possible EV clone a.k.a. Camry EV or bZ Camry that would act like a more mainstream Porsche Taycan and target the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and BMW i4
$45k plus for plug in camry! It is B.S. I am a loyal toyota costumer for 20 years but I definitely absurd. I am sure that my future car wouldn't be toyota.
I'm deeply saddened that the estate likely won't come to the states. I really hope it's wrong; I'd love to buy one. We desperately need an Outback competitor.

Shocking that Toyota would not reuse the A25A-FKS engine from the current gen, a relatively new and still modern engine. Plus Toyota is one to extend the usage of a tried and true engine to maximize ROI as much as possible.
I’ve never been a fan of Toyotas exterior or interior design. Always looks bland and dated
so bummed that the Crown Estate is not coming to the US market…a plug-in hybrid Crown Estate with something similar to the hybrid MAX (400 lb/ft torque) would be a great daily driver AND a great road-tripper..

I wouldnt buy anything new anymore.. none of them are worth the price…theyre not built as well as they used to be..and theyre worth half of what you paid when the market crashes…and it will.
