  1. From what I heard the original was very clearly pay to win but I still tried to play it cause I remember play a Digimon MMO like 15 years ago that you need to use a Korean SS number generator to create an account and use a fan made english patch to the game. The current one though is just not playable to me, the tutorial was just… bad. I hope this one isn't as much pay to win (idm a cash shop they need to pay for the game but be sensible) and that the translation is a lot better as well.

  2. I remember DMO. i stopped when the x Digimon came out becuase it took like $400 for magnamon x factor
Also when I was 8 I got scamed out of a ghenna because I wanted a kudamon egg and got kunamon the insect one I only found out latter that ghenna was worth a lot 500t at the time

  3. My favorite thing about Master on mobile was the abysmal english translation. "Of course I know! I'm the king of poop!" Is still top tier echolalia to me. As for gameplay….ehhhh…what gameply? It is extremely a pay to win mobile game.

  4. I don’t know about scaling in digimon. Like Pokémon species have a pretty consistent scaling but digimon seem to vary a LOT more. Look at how much of a difference in size there is between the wargreymon in the original anime was compared to the 2020 reboot. I know that may be an outlier but I think that’s a decent excuse for the scaling in this game

  5. You’re either high or just don’t appreciate S/V because of the performance issues if you think THIS looks better than those games. 3D models are light years better than what I see in this trailer and the overworld is still better looking. That’s not to say S/V shouldn’t look A LOT better than it already does because of the budget they have compared to the DMO devs but c’mon man give credit where credit is due

  6. You can have some fun with DMO, but you eventually hit a wall. After they started adding the higher difficulty dungeons a lot of mons became unviable, and even though they eventually rebalanced the them to compensate for the power creep, which dungeon is harder than the last and the best Digimon were locked to the cash shop.

By the time they added X-antibody Digimon, they started doing loot boxes. I got so bad that Bandai didn't renew their license to distribute them. Also, the game is definitely better with friends.

And they do have a weird size scaling system in the game which makes some digimon too big, but others just can't get to their actual size cause they'd be way too large for the screen.

  7. So if anyone wonder why many digimon fan hated Digimon Master and how much pay 2 win it was.
Let not mention about meta, or how strong pay digimon is and focus on what probably what everyone want from Digimon game the most…..Collect Digimon.
So there is a few digimon you can get, there is free event digimon from time to time to obtain and you can use them to clear the new stuff so you can still play as the free player if you really want to
    but………….
you see……most of digimon……..is in Pay Gacha. Yes…..while in a gacha is still ok in my book, the problem is you have to actual pay to roll it. There no other way. And the rate is so terrible too (I think new/pick up digimon is like 0.5%) so you have to pay a lot to get them
So if you want to collect digimon in this game, you better be a rich person or the most lucky person in the world.
And of course pay digimon is way stronger than free one, event digimon is playable but still can't compare to pay one.
There also even pay version of free digimon which is better as well.
For example you can easily get Shinegreymon in this game since it starter digimon.
But you see…..there actually pay version of Shinegreymon as well which is way better. That just how fuck up it is. Instead of buff the existed one, they just make a new one that better instead and force you to pay for it so you can still keep playing Shinegreymon (since it a starter you bet you can't use him that long).
If you are free to play this game, the digimon you can use is VERY LIMIT, you just play with what they give, never get freedom of pick your own digimon to want to use.
My info might be wrong since it been so long but that about it.

  8. It looks pretty neat. I might check it out, tho since the old Version was very heavily Pay to Win, I gonna be careful with it. I payed way to much money into the old game just to have my favorite Digimon even being able to hatch, but I won't make the same mistake twice

  9. Looks cool, but I'll mirror many other people's sentiments about pay to win and micro transactions. I'll stick to games that don't do that. If it doesn't, then I'll give it a try.

  10. As someone who put 574 hours into Digimon masters i can tell you it was a fucking nightmare of ptw if you wanted to do ANYTHING. This is 100% going to end up the same and its a real shame.

  11. Speaking from having played this game for aaaaaages since the og first came out, it looks like they're just slapping shiny new models on their same game and calling it new. It'll probably be super pay to win still, and the kind of game where it takes ages to get digimon from wild drops (eggs that can break when trying to hatch them too! unless they're a special version or store bought). Oh and full of bots, sooooooo many bots and there was a big issue in the og with spam shout out messages.

Certainly a game where it would be more entertaining to play with a group of friends cause the solo grind gets pretty boring after a while. But I'll give it this, being able to ride around on some digimon was super fun heh (buuuuuuuuuuuut again, getting the riding items also was either extremely rare drop or just buying from the cash shop)

Its the kind of game where its pretty much just a time killer when waiting for other digimon games lol

  12. Am I wrong, or are they just moving everyone's accounts from the og Dmo to this?🤔so this is basically a revamp/reskin of the original dmo but with all the same accounts that have already put hundreds in the game?🤔

  13. Kind of looks like they’re taking the original DMO (Digimon Masters Online) and updating it, because if you take a look at DMO now, the graphics have been updated and all the digimon look great, i’m getting the feeling that this could end up being an expansion to the original DMO

  14. Unless there's more "game" to the new one and less p2w heavy this is just a last ditch effort to keep the game alive.
from my own experience and what i've hear DMO is insanely p2w and the actual content is hard to find.
I would much rather have a new more story focussed Digimon MMO than another version of this hot piece of garbage

  15. DMO, was a very P2W game, if this has P2W imma skip it.
DMO was a VERY grindy game on the F2P path u always needed a low level digimon so u could go back and grind out more eggs/data/money so you could progress on ur main digimon. as no the wild mons dont drop rewards after ur digimon hits a certain level cap above them.
Two of my pet peeves with this game was all the Real money bots grinding low levels too get in game stuff for trading, and the amount of healing disks u needed to buy just so u could heal ur energy as digivolving wasnt free and neither was skill use.

  16. If it's cash heavy like the original, I'm out… auras n chips n whatever else that costs money monthly, if you didn't have any one of em you fell far behind and that's not even putting the silly egg mechanics in

  17. I won't be touching this game if its own by gameking or move games.

After joy max sold DMO gameking made the chose to ban players in Europe be ause they couldn't sell loot boxes in Europe. Never refunded anyone, profiles still banned.

They'll do the same with this. Really bad company

  18. Is this just a major new update for DMO or an actual new game? DMO was fun up until raid dungeons were introduced and the new digimon turned cash exclusive.
Also about digimon sizes, they can be hatched in stages 3/5-5/5 which determines how big the digimon is. Starter digimon were locked pretty small but some digimon get massive when max size %

  19. As someone who has wasted many hours in DMO (Unfortunately), I don't think this game is worth the play. To me, it just seems like they added better graphics with nothing else into it.
