  1. Regarding the whole "is Giselle a male"…. thing. Considering the gender point also comes right after the two of them call Giselle out on the whole innocent act; I think the implication is that the hyper feminine look is also supposed to be a part of the con. That Giselle actually does identify as male; but cross-dresses to bolster the act of being a weak and helpless girl.

Hence the reason of why the rage; picking up on the act is one thing; but noticing that the entire outfit is also "fake" is what pushes Giselle over the edge. At least; that's what I'm assuming was Kubos intention.

  2. The character is male just as the author stated.
The character in the series is revealed by two character to be male.
Intentionally both characters are effeminate and the other is pretending to be something he's not.
    Yumichika is male yet effeminate.
Giselle Gewelle is male yet very effeminate masquerading as female.
The other Charlotte the Arrancar masculine drag queen.

So he's a femboy (A femboy is someone under 30 years who is biologically male that presents themselves in a (very) feminine manner, through their behaviour and physical appearance, or in a manner that would traditionally be regarded as feminine or effeminate.

So irregardless of what you perceive the character to be or how the character identifies he is still male.

So calling him she ( used to refer to a woman, girl, or female animal previously mentioned or easily identified.), her (used as the object of a verb or preposition to refer to a female person or animal previously mentioned or easily identified.), when it's incorrect using basic grammar.

The character Giselle deals in deception as his character trait.

Don't humor the deluded fools that claim gender fluidity.

Humans are sexually dimorphic: men and women differ in body build and composition, craniofacial structure, and voice pitch, likely mediated in part by developmental testosterone.

Or the so call trans community pushing chemical castration via hormone replacement and "gender reassignment" / sex change operations via cosmetic surgery.

A baby's sex is determined at the moment of fertilization. Out of the 46 chromosomes that make up a baby's genetic material, only 2 — 1 from the sperm and 1 from the egg — determine the baby's sex.

Dictionary of the English Language of 1882 defined gender as kind, breed, sex, derived from the Latin ablative case of genus, like genere natus, which refers to birth.

The modern academic sense of the word, in the context of social roles of men and women, dates at least back to 1945, and was popularized and developed by the feminist movement from the 1970s onwards (see Feminist theory and gender studies).

These gender identity people are anti reality completely delusional.

    de·lu·sion·al

    adjective

characterized by or holding false beliefs or judgments about external reality that are held despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary, typically as a symptom of a mental condition.

  3. Let's be real, Yumichika and Ikkaku both know about each other's abilities/zanpaktou. There's no way they don't and essentially act as if they do. Neither of them really have any need to rat out the other, and they are seemingly close friends after all.

  4. I wish we got some Akon during the fight. I really like him and I have no idea why. Maybe just his design… those horns(bumps) are cool.
It seems that Giselle is just totally depraved. A boy who dresses as a girl to play the victim while actually hunting for victims among her comrades, and anyone else. I get the feeling she just loves abusive control and her abilities are a sick reflection of broken possessive love. The attacks when insulted are a direct reflection of a battered ego. She probably doesn't value anyone, herself included.

  5. You have to remember that Mayuri has cameras or their equivalent in all of the soul society, and he religiously watches the goings-on. I assume he specifically came out of his laboratory because of this Quincy. And he probably wanted to test out some new invention he had or something like that. And that's why he just happened to have some counters. He is a scientist first. The data collection portion of his job was over. And the testing phase began. Lol

  6. I assume that he actually has the bodies of the Espada, but that this was a trial run and that he would not risk using the espada bodies without field testing some of the other vasto lorde. Or in this case the weaker fraccion.

  7. Here'a my take on Mayuri's new drug:

Mayuri analyzed Aizen's Shikai and realized how it interacts with a person. He modifies his Shikai (as he explained it the Purnitor fight), to create a substance (lets say sweat) that creates a 5 sensory illusion programmed to let Mayuri control it as long as he holds his sword. He hits Hitsugaia with it, falls back, and gets a feedback loop of what the drug is doing (Like Aizen crafting illusions). He continues to refine it, running the same simulation again and again, tailoring the experiment just a bit each time, until the process just clicks and resets a person. Does this mean Mayuri ia now on a cusp between now probably analyzing Gigi and having Aisen's psychotropic reset button and either being the most praised scientific genius with the ability to possibly save and raise any number of dead shinigami or does he begin creating better copies of 'deadman' switches that he subtly controls? Its Mayuri at his best, a crossroads between his ego and his actual genius.

  8. The bambi stuff is pretty sad. While i wasnt big fan of her. This zombie thing is pretty messed up. Especially every time she tries to speak 😢
I saw theory last ep that if they fail they would be killed so they thought being a zombie is better but with how they treat her its obviously not done out of any kindness

  9. Bambi was extra thirsty when she fought Charlotte, so she was extra weak. Giselle could've powered her up by feeding her blood, to make her solo. just like how Gogi taking the blood back from Bambi weakens and would eventually have killed Bambietta

  10. Who said Giselle identified as a woman. Just because he dresses like one or has effeminate characteristics doesn't mean he's trans. Stop trying to bring stupid trans politics into non western works, we have enough of those in western ones.

  11. the fact bambi is kept alive as a semi-lobotomized zombie in the novel that's physically, mentally and very likely sexually abused by gigi is just fucked up.
You can't help but wonder what the fuck is wrong with kubo / narita or whatever the novel authors name is.

  12. I don’t think people give Charlotte enough credit when they scale him as weaker than Yumichika when he was thoroughly dominating Yumichika for their entire fight and only lost because of Yumichika’s true Shikai. As far as Bambi is concerned I think it’s fair to say that not only is she weaker from zombification but it seems she lost access to her Blut abilities is well which is why she’s less effective on both attack and defense. Considering that with the incredibly strong likelihood that Mayuri modified the Arrancar to make them stronger and I think Charlotte taking on Zombietta with such ease makes complete sense. You have to consider that one character defeating another is not equal to one character being stronger than another. I think Mayuri could easily defeat Kenpachi in a fight but by no means does that make Kenpachi weaker than Mayuri. Or for a better comparison there’s always Askin v Ichigo to consider. It’s just to say that I definitely don’t see Charlotte beating Zombietta as any kind of plot hole, but that’s just my perspective on things.

  13. You have probably heard rhis before but in german, V is pronounced as an F. W is ptonounced as a V.

Also, mayuri's zombies were probably chosen over the espada and such because he did not want to create zombies that would actually be a threat to himself. As for the torso reconstruction, might have been done before he found his new puppets by the arrancar explaining the Kira thing, though, it is mayuri, he is a demented ass who only puts effort into things he find interesting, fixing kira… Eh, not high on his priorities.

  14. I always figured Charlotte overwhelming Bambietta so much was due to a variety of factors, including the poisonous nature of hollows to quincies, Bambietta's nerfed state, potential upgrades Mayuri would've likely given them, and the fact that Yumichika only won because all of Charlotte's spiritual pressure was absorbed by his zanpakuto, so we don't really know how strong he was in the first place.

  15. I think it's a testament to the Bleach fandom and to Bleach as a whole that Giselle's reveal as biologically male hasn't dampened the fandom's love of her nor has spawned a huge surge in transphobia in general. It's really refreshing for a fandom to take the reveal of a character's identity so evenly and basically just kind of shrugged it off, especially considering how trans women are often depicted in a similar manner as this and how much fandoms normally hate trans female characters. I honestly think it really comes back to Kudo's writing, Giselle's sadism isn't unusual in Bleach because we've had like 5 separate characters who have a similar twist to them so the fandom has kind of been inoculated to it at this point. Because, ultimately, harmful tropes are largely only harmful because they're isolated. Trans character being twisted sadistic perverts is only bad when they're the ONLY sadistic twisted pervert in the story and when that's the only representation they ever seen to get, but Giselle is just the latest in a line of characters just like her.

  16. I think Kubo was just trying to finish the holy trinity…we have Yumichika a flamboyant man(I would say gay but idk if kubo's confirmed his orientation i hope so cause then it'd feel right cosplaying him), Charlotte a drag queen, and Giselle a trans woman…inclusivity and thats why he also brought back charlotte

Edit: the reason Giselle changed Hitsugaya 's clothes is cause he's cuter than kensei and rose…it also seems like Giselle can give certain zombies more power and traces of their will…you can tell by if their eyes are all white or if they have pupils like Hitsugaya and Bambietta
