Origins:
Itsa Me Mario comes from an old image that circulated the internet for a while. It was used in thumbnails and videos.
GB (Golden Land): Apparently an OC made by one of the mod makers, surprisingly similar to a creepy pasta called “A Golden Memory” which from my sources would play a nostalgic game from the person’s childhood and slowly remove their memories, the main character playing Mario Land 2.
I HATE YOU Luigi: Originates from a creepy pasta with the same name “I HATE YOU”. The actual creepy pasta has two versions, an .exe file and the slightly inferior .rom hack.
Alone Luigi: Originates from a beta version of Luigi’s Mansion shown at E3 and such. The flower is due to the fact that he also was shown with a flower in the beta version if you got the lowest rating of money.
Wario: The wario apparition as it’s dubbed, comes from a common theory that every copy of Mario 64 is personalised to the player’s wants. Everyone shared memories of which don’t come from the game but one scenario was most common: the wario apparition.
MX: Came from a game called Mario ‘85 PC Port, very similar to Sonic PC Port, but it’s Mario. The “wahoo” is from when MX falls into a pit, leading players to think he died, before leaping out of the pit. The thing he says during that small cutscene was “innocence doesn’t get you far”
