  1. This is one of those movies where when you come to it in the release order it really is not that impressive, but when you re-watch it later and you understand how much stuff it really setup it becomes a much more enjoyable movie.

  2. Correction: it’s not Silver Surfer, it’s Quicksilver. Silver Surfer is a completely different character from another planet. But he actually IS a Marvel character! 😄 I don’t know if you noticed at the end when they were showing Barton’s baby, but the name on the T-shirt said Nathaniel Pietro Barton. Nathaniel, after Nat Romanoff, a.k.a., the Black Widow, because they are best, best, best friends/comrades, and Pietro after Pietro Maximoff, a.k.a. Quicksilver, since he did save Barton’s life. The reason why they never called Pietro “Quicksilver” is because Marvel Studios couldn’t get the rights for the name from Fox Studios, who owns the rights to all of the Marvel X-Men characters, in which Quicksilver is one of them. Which is another reason why he had to die off because they only got permission do use him in one movie. And for some reason end credits don’t count as a movie. Which is how we got to see him twice, both in this movie and the end credits of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Amazingly, you unknowingly predicted a few things in later movies. I’m not going to tell you what because I don’t want to ruin it for you. Like I said in a previous comment on an earlier marvel movie reaction, this isn’t my favorite movie of the MCU, but it is incredibly important. Both this and Thor: the dark world have major set ups for a future movies that ultimately sets the ball rolling in the direction that the entirety of the MCU takes. These two movies, although they are not fan favorites, are seriously underrated for the impact that they have. They are far too easily dismissed as “bad movies“ even though they’re not. And as for Bruce and Nat, nobody saw that coming. 😬👀😅 That was an idea from the writers of this movie. It was never in the comics. Which I think is why a lot of fans really hated it. Because it wasn’t canon to any version of the comics. But one fun fact about this movie is that Scarlett Johansson was incredibly pregnant during this movie. She actually had a pretty big baby bump that they had to CGI out in every scene and hide her behind things… Like the bar at the party. If you go back and rewatch some of her scenes, you might notice that she had a different walk. In movies before and after this one, when she walks, she usually walks pretty straight and “normal“. But in this one, she kind of twists a little bit with each step, because she was major preggers! 🤰🤣 But seriously… the trajectory of the next 11 movies has officially been set. You can think of the MCU like a saga of books. Each movie is a book that will ultimately converge into one plot line. This truly is a historic achievement. Whether you like superhero movies or not. This is never been done before in cinema. To have so many completely separate characters, storylines, directors, and even with a few actor changes… to have 25+ movies over 15+ years nearly seamlessly come together into one single storyline… It shouldn’t have worked. It really shouldn’t have! But they made it work and they did a phenomenal job with it. I’m glad you’re enjoying it so far. I really am! And I’m glad you two are the types that still enjoy a movie even though it’s not your favorite of the series. With some of the fandom, they have gotten seriously spoiled rotten and they will dismiss so many major components without a blink of an eye. And that’s just sad. I can’t wait for your next reaction! Have a good one! ❄️🫡🦾💙💙💙

  3. This is definitely a movie that gets better on rewatches (as you eluded to once you know the larger story, this one becomes pretty significant). Looking forward to Antman. I think you guys will enjoy it. But (no spoilers), get ready because the next Captain America changes EVERYTHING. Cannot wait!

  4. When I was reading my brother's Marvel comic collection in the 1970s The Vision was my favorite character, so it was really fun for me to see him introduced to the MCU, and I really enjoyed how he was portrayed.

  5. I highly recommend the entire DC Animated Universe from 1992 to 2006 aka the Timmverse in my opinion the DCAU is better than the cinematic universes because while the cinematic universes are generic and extremely formulaic the DCAU is a beautifully written masterpiece that just gets better and better as it goes on I feel like superhero movies just get worse as they go on because now and days they are just cash grabs there's no heart anymore that's why I prefer animation

  6. Vision is not actually worthy, because he’s an android like human the rules technically don’t apply to him. Plus he was created by Thors lighting so it’s not far stretched how he’s able to lift Mjolnir.

  7. And Idk about the whole idea of Captain America has to keep training just to stay strong, he constantly trains so much only to increase his combat stamina and effectiveness, battle awareness, and battle strategies cause after all he still is a soldier. He will always have the super soldier serum in him even as old Cap and Isaiah Bradley is proof of that, they may not have been as strong as they were when they were younger but their still very much Superhuman

  9. Even though Infinity War and Endgame are definitely better, Age of Ultron will always have a special place in my heart and at the very least, I do find it to be a sizable improvement above the first.

  10. Idc what anybody says, from an arms dealer that might be the coldest line of the movie “you will make it right or the next missile I send you will come very much faster” & you hope Wanda becomes a big character? Oh you have no idea

  11. Marvel accidently stumbled on a FORMULA for "the perfect movie" in first Avengers (2012). Antman is the last movie in Phase 2. For phase 3 and 4, they have the formula down to a science and 17/18 of the movies are a 10/10 (Captain Marvel is 5/10).

  12. It doesn't feel like it has finality to it because there's lots of quotes in this movie that you'll might want to remember for later movies… They said: "That up there, thats the *endgame*… How do you guys plan on beating that?" And cap responded with: "Together." Tony then said: "We'll *lose*" and cap said: "Then we'll do that together too."

Well… I could say many things about the significance of that quote… But i dont wana spoil… Those who know… Know😬👀

  13. Steve does NOT have to train to stay strong. Thats not accurate. Thats never stated in the MCU and in the comics yes Cap is always training but it is too continually increase his combat effectiveness and strategy. He took a super soldier serum. Its always in his DNA. It doesn’t require maintenance. Steve Rogers is a soldier and one of the most disciplined individuals in Marvel comics. He understand training and its benefits. Its never been stated in the MCU or the comics that its required. We have actually seen Steve in the comics go for long periods of time not training at all and this had no effect on him. Awesome reaction. One thing that tremendously bothers me about Age of Ultron is Hulkbuster knocking out Hulk. Thats ridiculous. They also really did not get Ultron right. Ultron is far far more powerful than they made him. As cool as it was to see him, he is not a throw away villain. Y’all still have a ways to go for the Infinity Saga but its going to be great. You’ll get answers.

  14. Quicksilver and Wanda are mutants, like the X-Men but you never hear that word being used because if I'm not mistaken, Fox wouldn't allow that, they're the one's who had control of the X-Men franchise at the time. And I won't say anything else about them, you have yet to watch the X-Men franchise, don't want to spoil. Looks like you're following the MCU in the proper watch order, so Antman is next, before one of my favorites of the franchise, Captain America: Civil War. Then there are five other movies before things really kick off in Avengers: Infinity War. You're lucky there is no real wait period to watch these movies since they've all out now. For the rest of us, we had the long wait when it all started with Iron Man, which started the MCU back in 2008 and had to wait until ten years later for things to come to a head in Infinity War
