🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.

Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.

From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.

Choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer.

Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.

Forged with the new Divinity 4.0 engine, Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you unprecedented freedom to explore, experiment, and interact with a world that reacts to your choices. A grand, cinematic narrative brings you closer to your characters than ever before, as you venture through our biggest world yet.

The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around you — verticality is a vital part of exploration. Sneak, dip, shove, climb, and jump as you journey from the depths of the Underdark to the glittering rooftops of the Upper City. How you survive, and the mark you leave on the world, is up to you.

allows you to combine your forces in combat, and split your party to follow your own quests and agendas. Concoct the perfect plan together… or introduce an element of chaos when your friends least expect it.

offer a hand-crafted experience, each with their own unique traits, agenda, and outlook on the world. Their stories intersect with the entire narrative, and your choices will determine whether those stories end in redemption, salvation, domination, or many other outcomes.

based on the D&D 5e ruleset. Team-based initiative, advantage & disadvantage, and roll modifiers join combat cameras, expanded environmental interactions, and a new fluidity in combat that rewards strategy and foresight.

through your choices, and the roll of the dice. No matter who you play, or what you roll, the world and its inhabitants will react to your story.

allows you to pause the world around you at any time even outside of combat. Whether you see an opportunity for a tactical advantage before combat begins, want to pull off a heist with pin-point precision, or need to escape a fiendish trap. Split your party, prepare ambushes, sneak in the darkness — create your own luck!

  1. Bummer, it seems some cinematic bugged out for you. Should have had an option to detonate with Gale upon entering, and I think Aylin getting the killing blow of Ketheric might have caused the transition to the Apostle not to trigger.

  2. Loveless was totally right with his comment a few eps back – about them being together, and it was so funny how Odd replied like "um, no?" lmao

Also, if it's any consolation – from what I have read there is no way to save Isobel other than stopping the abduction at Last Light Inn. Even if you didn't cast cloud of daggers on her whilst knocked out (lol), I think she just dies when Ketheric dies? But knocking people out does actually have a use so if you feel like it's an option – use it. If you accidentally turn anyone hostile they will be knocked out and return to normal after a long rest. Some people will just die but it's always worth trying

  3. I can't say for certain that she would still be "alive" if you had kept Isobel in that unconscious state, she WAS enthralled afteral (my money's on probably not)l, but you can't make non-lethal attacks with spells and magical effects, only melee attacks. It was the AoE of the cloud of daggers that ultimately killed her. Riperooni. At least Aylin likely wont hold it against you. Definitely speak to her at camp when yall rest up.

  4. If I remember correctly, thaniel said ketheric was the source/core of the shadow curse, now that hes dead i think yall shoild go and seebthqniel agaon to see if he has any dialogue, or if any cutscene will play of the curse lifting

  5. lots of equipment doesn't count as armor in BG3, robes and the circlet headgear are examples. basically when looking at your gear if it doesn't say light/med/heavy armor on the bottom left you can have it equipped and still benefit from mage armor, karlach may just genuinely be a glitch tho 😂

  6. Small tip towards throwing potions at party members, I've also had inconsistency with them, especially with proned characters, but I've had 100% success with targeting their character portrait instead of their ingame model. I think in general, targeting the portraits can be very useful.

  7. Beyond excited to see how the rest of the story goes with the changes you guys have compared to my own run. Utilizing the Dead Three like this was such a great choice by Larian Studios, and I am sure Odd is going to be enthralled by the developments with the Dark Urge in Act 3. Fun as always to watch!

  8. Knocking people out doesn’t work….drops cloud of daggers on her head. Gotta keep in mind that when you ko someone they still exist on the battlefield and you can still kill then in this case accidentally

  9. random protip:

sanctuary is a level one spell that is an essential tool for any cleric. It's a bonus action non concentration spell that makes an ally untargetable by enemies until they attack.

it's great for situations like you had with karlach where are you have just healed someone but they are still vulnerable. It's also great to protect whoever is carrying your haste spell so that they don't get their concentration broken.

obviously the cleric can also use it to protect herself if she wants to go full heal/buff mode since only attacks break the sanctuary

Just be careful of area attacks they can ignore sanctuary

  10. Wow that’s super weird! The cutscene of Ketheric falling into the pit and becoming the apostle of myrkul was skipped! I think the game had a hard time with you going to moonrise towers last lol

  11. And you missed the whole labaroty area where you can actualy put those brains-in-jars to use.
And also I talked the old man into giving up. Thinking I won the act right there and now. Little did I know what followed…. And it was a hell of an experience

Basically fighting the Skeleton King while having the group after the cutscene of Thorm sacrifing himself right at the entry point. On lower position. Skeletor indestructible becaue Aylin still in prison. Flanked and rushed by the stuff you actually killed on you way up. But on the bright side: I did not kill the daughter, again.

PS: Magic missile looks weak. But there are certain bits of skills and items, in a clever way combined, make this spell a powerhouse. Not for damage output alone but for the effects hits of it offer whith the right gear equiped. And also you do not to be a caster class to put this spell to a 100% use. So every scroll of it you can get it worth its money. Just saying afte 140h playtime.
Oh and why Nightsong was so upset and psicho? Find out in you next run.

  12. You have got to be more careful with those AOE spells. Now Aylin won't get to bone (her actual word) Isobel. Your lucky the Devs decided not to have her rage on you – I know some DMs that would have done just that – and after being so careful to knock her out too!

Pity about the missed cut scene where Kethric declares if you strike me down I will rise more powerful and then falls back into the pit only to arise as the Apostle.

Will agree Kethric was a bit of a push over (and you didn't even discover his weakness). Every time Kethric created an necromantic egg he looses health (happened in the first fight which is where I noticed it). All you have to do, after freeing Aylin is destroy the necromites before they heal Kethric, He will create new ones every turn, making himself weaker and wasting his action. Anyway except for poor Karlach (and Isobel) you did it without realising it.

Sadly not much of a celebration awaiting you but the land is free to heal. Onto Act III! Yeh look forward to the "Chill" section!

  13. Glad to see you still going and enjoying playing. Just wanted to say that I enjoy your content, but your modded XCOM 2 long plays are always my fave go to when I have no idea what I want to watch. I hope this eventually grows to that level.

  14. The game is indeed a little bit easy, unfortunately. That's from your perspective, having played little of EA and now entering the D&D world. For long-time D&D players, it definetely lacks a greater level of difficulty 🙁
