I think every single brand, regardless of price bracket, is creating products that appeal to a larger audience to ensure sales during these economic times. The resulting outcome is limited, unexciting choices for consumers.
I'm not a trend slave, I like classic, well tailored pieces that look great and wear very well. I agree with you, the fashion wheel keeps turning, and eventually, we see a resurgence of styles we owned decades ago – are we THAT old 😅😅?

I love a good luxury makeup and I get it for collectors..but I feel luxury makeup is becoming unrealistic in terms of pricing. I wouldnt be surprised of new makeup lines coming to life that are not charging a 200 or more for a lipstick.thank you for posting , love your vids

Yes for Guerlain!!! 😊I'm hoping the quad will be a success as I love the colours. I want the Meteorites as I don't have that shade and am really feeling the lipstick cases. I'd love to see a nice pink lipstick from Guerlain that is not a warm nude👀 I really enjoy the Givenchy eyeshadows I have so I'm at least intrigued 😊 Since I am covered with enough make up for the rest of my life I don't want to buy anything that's just pretty packaging but bland on the inside. I want special packaging for great products in interesting colours and something new to me. The Clé de Peau quad actually looks right up my alley colour wise. And I would like to try a Clé de Peau lipsticks at least once. Otherwise it's a no from me
Guerlain meteorites changed their phormula and shade 2 isn't as cool now it leans warmer alittle on the golden side now like it has more green and yellow balls in it instead of the cooler toned ones .
I wish the colors were different from Dior cause the packaging is so pretty but the colors are not up my alley.
I am wondering what ever happened to that TFord blush that got peeked in June or July the heart blush. It just never came and I haven't heard anything about it. I am wondering if it was a valentine's day release that accidentally got peeked..lol

That Guerlain did not create a special holiday Méréorites is such a huge disappointment! I’ve collected Météorites ever since they were first launched and have always enjoyed adding another special edition to my collection. That being said, I am happy Météorites is back and I hope the reformulated version works magic the way the older version did. I’ll get the holiday version just so I don’t have a hole in my collection. I’ll also get the Rouge G cases. I think they look fun. As for Clé de Peau, based on all the promo pictures I’ve seen, the color story is not for me;,especially the eyeshadow quad, but we shall see.

Boy, you hit the nail on the head with these cosmetic companies. Like you, I have a lot of makeup, and I remember that I used to be able to enjoy the splurge when Dior, Chanel, Chantecaille or other luxury brands had something special, in gorgeous packaging, for holidays. But they have raised their prices so much that I can't afford to be their customer any more. And, like you say, the reformulations they did made products I loved, and can still (barely) afford, no longer any good. Both brands ruined their nail polishes for instance, they drove me to a less luxurious brand, Lakur, that wears 7-10 days and looks as good. But it's depressing. $200 to $500 lipsticks tell me that Dior and Chanel, in particular, don't want my business any more. Thanks for the video. I'm skipping a lot of new this fall and holiday.💚
I saw two of the Hermes shades are on their website. The colors were a lot sheerer then I expected. I got one. They looked pretty. I might get the other one too but they are expensive!
Chanel lost me last year with those ridiculously expensive Tweed Quads that weren't really anything special, plus everything coming out oversized which is just a waste. I did like the Christmas Quad, but didn't bother due to so many other choices. When they came out with the Byzance Collection of Quads, I was intrigued and bought them all. When prices for a glass lipstick case plus a refill that can't be used without the case are advertised with nothing exceptional about the whole item, they've lost me again. I can understand if the case was made of Swarovski Crystal as a special collectors range, but not as something aimed only at those with the expendable income to take such a hit. I'm curious as whether the Dior Lipstick Case will be a Dior exclusive or the regular price, the other pieces, I just don't need. I will buy the Givenchy Eye Palette, as I've definitely fallen for them. It's best to test the shades in person if possible as they do appear quite different to the pictures. Burberry will most likely have a collection too, which I'd be most interested in. I suppose I've come to a point where I haven't even room to store all my make-up and that's a problem. I simply do not need so much and need to put on the brakes and be realistic. Anything that doesnt instantly 'wow' me, is not on my radar. I just saw the Chanel Set you'll be getting Jen, and I'm sure you'll be very happy.🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨
I’m excited for the Meteorites especially since it’s for light tones. I can’t see that much for a lipstick. Maybe solid gold 😂😂😂😂😂 I see why you are getting it. You love to collect I don’t see anything special with them I mean not even a pretty imprint on the lipstick ? Ha ha 😊

I actually use an older hourglass pallet as a real workhorse when traveling!! Otherwise I never reach for it?? Depending on what’s inside, I may possibly splurge as I did skip last year’s release. And while the meteorites packaging is gorgeous, I wear shades 3 and 4!
I’m also going to skip the hourglass. I don’t use face palettes, I just don’t. It never is the case, that all the shades work for me. Without even researching, I would bet there are no new shades, or like 1 in 1 palette. So I’m making myself promise now I will not be swayed by the packaging. Unless it’s Suqqu, haha! I’ve already requested both face palettes and the lip kit.
The Guerlain quad packaging looks gorgeous, but I’ll only buy if it has the baked shades.
Great review of what's coming up. I am trying to love what I have. That being said, the Guerlain bug has bit me this year. I'll likely get the eyeshadow and a red lip. Not the bee case! Everything else seems meh, and as products come every 10 mins, there will be something else to get get excited about. Honestly, I feel like I am at a sushi restaurant where the sushi goes by in boats. If you don't like the hamachi, wait a second and the tuna will show up. Seriously. Hard to take any of it too seriously.

I thought the Hermes would be too dark for me too but the shades I could see on the website looked lighter on the models lips so the pay off might be different to bullet intensity. I'll be watching reviews to find out for sure!

I think overall quality of everything (ie cosmetics, clothing, homes) is decreasing. Craftmenship of homes definitely isn’t what it used to be. Unless off course, as you mentioned, it is the upper echelon of products, homes, etc. I feel this was happening pre pandemic as well. It’s almost like the term fast fashion now applies on a grand scale. And as someone that prefers quality over quantity,
I DONT like it.
With the Chanel lipstick, I’m very interested in the lipstick formula. I want to know if it is the luminous formula with the finely milled frost, I hate to call it frost. But the more frosty formula they had up until maybe 2013? My old Chanel lipstick Tahiti was a warm orange red with a gold frostiness. It’s so flattering. They have had all mattes forever now. I am hoping you remember what I’m talking about, 😬 and can discuss it on your video of the coffret. I’m not planning to get the limited edition packaging; since I’m retired my lipstick/purse game is good with the basic lipsticks. But I’m hoping the formula gets packaged as a lipstick line and not just refills.
I’m not too fussed over the neutrals and basics we’ve been seeing. Yes, it’s a “safe” sell right now. But that gives people who only buy basics a chance to up their packaging game, instead of thinking “oh gosh, I will never wear that bright green, purple or gold” or whatever. I like long linen skirts and dresses for summer, and they have been back the past couple of years, so I bought a couple. You’re right about the earrings, the “Me and Ro” look in the early 2000s. Next will be biker and Chrome Hearts again. 😅

I like the Dior collection before than the upcoming, unfortunately can't get it, I wish I could.
I started to watch this video, i saw really right away that you were wearing Suqqu quad 126, i love that one also so, so much, looks amazing on you, dear Jennifer!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩After that i looked in the description box, and yes, Suqqu 126, and later in the video you mentioned it! Of these (upcoming) launches, wow, maybe an Hourglass palette, maybe something of the Suqqu items, but even with Suqqu, i wait for swatches first, don't know how much these face palettes will be and how difficult to get? There are not many highlighers/illuninators i love, because i want it to be subtle, but CDP is one of them!!! But have enough still. Maybe the eyeshadow, but no matter how gorgeous the packaging is, it's about what is inside, if i see that the shadows are so, so, than not. And for Hourglass, beautiful packagings, and it's hopefull that i see 4 palettes, so i what i hope most is that they still learn from the past and bring us a palette for EVERYBODY, all inclusive, for all complexions!!! Still have enough Hourglass powders, but love my Elephant palette from last year, really do, also the blushes, it's such an easy beautiful palette!!! For (loose) setting powders, i gave away everything not-Japanese. But for finishing powders/highlighter/bronzer/blush, i use these. Again.
