There is another New World Resource buff incoming. Rare Materials from logging, harvesting, mining and skinning will be increased greatly effecting crafting professions again. So I wanted to you a few tips and tricks you can do to make money / gold on the trading post for the upcoming buff. This buff was mentioned by a developer at Amazon Games in one of the official forums. They talk about “rare” and “core” crafting materials that should be dropping more often and their plans to change the drop rates once they have done some more testing in the future. This guide will talk about what all I think this will effect and how you can use this information to make gold in the trading post and auction house! Last time we predicted the price drop on the refining materials and people made a lot of gold with some well timed info! Make sure to take advantage of this knowledge as I will talk about my personal plans to make money off this upcoming change!

What are you plans for these upcoming changes? Any predictions?
First
I was bit upset how difficult it has been to craft my own level 20-50 weapons as I leveled because of how ridiculous the uncommon and rare ingredients drops are. I am level 130 logging and all of that has been on young and mature trees for furniture leveling. I have only received 2 petrified wood even with my logging luck gear and food. I gave up on weapon crafting ingredients.
I feel like components will be more rare? It wont stay this way? There’s way many refining components now, before it was a little too little now too much

I’ve been buying tier 5 components for 0.01-03 since I am 51 and not getting many myself yet and I am assuming it cant always be this way long term

I'm thinking sliver of adderstone will be a lot more common, it sells for about 1k on my server now which is kinda insane considering u can get it from bolders

This is annoying af imo. Feedback to increase drop rates for these items has been coming since CB… Would have been great to be able to do more useful crafting while leveling. Would have made the launch so much better for so many people.
The fiber rare mats I get all the time, fae iron somewhat less than that, but the wood rare mats are crazy rare, and I always run full luck sets

This is to fix the items that aren't dropping at all or are crazy rare like Ebonwood, Petrified Wood. Fae iron drops a ton already and it's already dirt cheap. With most people having leveled past this stuff it has very little value. I don't see this having any significant economic impact.
Hope they dont buff cinnabar and tolvium, they are already so fucking common. I commonly get up to 12/ 1 orichalcum vein
