Jacksonville cause its sand…baddest dude will come thru… unidilla? I came up on ruts..new york is packed with wimpy liberals…when i raced red bud i passed 6 dudes to win last 2 laps
You like…mud? Ive never lost a mud race…got to be a good starter….. you need less people that agree with you.. if i trained you..wed need a dust up every morning till i was happy with youre meaness
The AMA ruined Unadilla after they forced them to change the start or lose the national it was all grass 1970s-1980s sloping down hill up hill into the right turn.Back then USGP when Roger Decoster raced…real motocross they raced in October 125,250 500 classes, that was when practice was all day Saturday you could camp for free and big bond fire Saturday night before Sunday race. Drinking got to be out of control with driving a van into bond fire..the next year they had cops on horses and a trailer next to the barn with a judge from town with court for people who got arrested
In the early 80βs I attended my 1st and only Pro Motocross event. It was Hangtown and Bob Hannah was there. Good to hear you give it some respect. It was the opening race of the season and the factories had their newest bikes.
Haha what do you know about Troy ohio? I was at the final national, its only 25 minutes away from my house! Wish that place was still around. I guess the concrete gate was the reason, had the pad behind the gate then the following year the wanted the pad in the front of the gate, guess they didnt want to keep sinking money onto a part that is only used for a second of each race. I remember the whole start straight was all grass, and full of premix smokeπ
Here is ranking from the fan experience side. I've been to every outdoor track on this years schedule . 11. Pala . 10. Highpoint. 9. Thunder valley. 8. Hangtown. 7. Unadilla . 6. Ironman 5. Budds creek . 4. Southwick . 3. Millville . 2 . Redbud . 1 Washugal.
Great insight, dude! Thanks for sharing. We were considering going out to some of the west coast (CA) rounds next year until hearing this – sounds like youβd swap them for Colorado. Howβd you handle the long drives and riding so well out there? Seems like it would be tough to shred after sitting in a car for days haha
So Sweet to watch your privateer journey this year through all the Nationals! It was the ultimate of REAL Motocross!!!! No matter your results, the effort you exerted was the epitome of the core of this sport! Thanks for all your posts and God Bless you in your future exploits!!!!!!
Matt if you don't race next year… which I hope you do but I mean I understand you're pushing 30 now a days but shit man transition into a filmer and go film all the races like you do. I always came back to watch your videos even after the race on TV lol
South wick, millville, unadilla, and ironman are all tracks Iβd love to see in person along with the old 06 glen hellen. Lakewood and pala and hangtown never looks good watching from broadcast
Awesome video! I know your basis for comparison is against the best riders in the country including some select international riders. When you put that into perspective for the common man, you are an incredibly gifted rider to be mixing it up with these dudes. Great job!
Growing up in Colorado only track on the list I consistently rode was Thunder Valley. Not to much of a fan of the owner though. He could be nicer haha.
I wish they'd let u run ur 250 in the lites class Either way, ur a savage, the casuals don't get how gnarly these tracks are…especially to do 2 motos 30+2
Una-fing-dilla! Heck yah! I grew up just down the road from there and went to my first pro race there in '85, 250 usgp. It was magical back then, full grass track, rough as hell. Hannah was at his peak power on that works Honda and should of won but a broken clutch lever slowed him enough for Oshow to win it. So much fun.
Great video and a good idea!!!
I've always thought hangtown looked like shit. You couldn't pay me to go ride there

MX SPORTS /DAVY. COOMBS RUINED A LOT OF TRACKS WITH HIS TYRANNICAL TACTICS TO CHANGE OR LOSE YOUR NATIONAL EVENT. MXSPORTS OWNS AMA PRO RACING.
Sure riding great Matty. Enjoyed this one a lot. I have a two smoke 250 yz/ 490yz weighs 235 wet. If you could ride that you'd blow em away two smoke!

One time I had a 5pm moto at washougal amateur days. The shadows were Ffffuuuuuuu$$$8
Unadilla best, Pala worst..
As be the oldest son of Gene Ritchie, I know it's Redbud….

Where would Glen Helen fit in?

Glen Helen is the best and Davey Coombs is an Asshole For not making it happen!
I've ridden GH and I've been to Millville. GH doesn't hold a candle to Mt. Martin…ur right.

You should come up to the NorthEast. Run a JDay. There are a few left this year.
