I definitely still have this recorded on VHS from when it originally aired WOW
WWF would have been a Juggernaut if it stayed alive.
Vince didnt want to pay legal taxes for his product to be an actual sport, so he started calling it "sports entertainment". Then he even moved it to just "entertainment". He refuses to call his roster "wrestlers". They are now coined "wwe superstars". A lot of quotations here but hopefully you get the picture.
Please don't take this down
It’s still real to me, dammit!!
How old is this documentary???
Steve Allen, the narrator, died in 2000…
4:45
RIP all the legends who aren't with us anymore 💔
Hogan saying Andre died shortly after that match is some B.S. man lived for six more years jackass Hogan
Time 1:09 to 1:12 looked like a TRUMP ralley.
Shawn's description of himself was.. lacking a bit of self awareness
It's crazy how so many of these names sound familiar thanks to Jim Cornette
The most hard core man in the ring was man kind dude love and cactus jack!
Still have my vhs recorded copy from 1998, timeless video.
After watching this. It hurts me that some of these wrestlers during late 1800s and early 1900s are being over looked for Hall of fame . The Bella's and Snoop Dogg manage to get in.
Man these old wrestling documentaries bring back memories! Used to love these as a kid
I think they left some stuff about The Fabulous Moolah out of her segment.
I watched this over and over as a kid. Thanks AE for uploading this
The answer: it’s entertaining. They took an hour and a half on the same point. Why does pro wrestling need to constantly have to explain itself? We know what it is. Are people actually blood thirsty and want the performers to really hurt each other day in day out?
How old is this ?!!!
U guys ordered the wwe top wrestlers of the late 80s pretty cursed, also y didn't this doc get into lucha, stronghold, or extremewrestling? I want to know abt the culture like u guys mentioned but u didn't delve too deep into anything
Vince. Vince and hulk ruined a lot of wrestling.
Did hulk ever walk into the stu Hart dungeon
51:39😂
Whoever this Goldberg Jew is he's tired and long winded and talking out his a**. But then again all Jewish do that. Also, of course the Jew tries to pretend he likes colored people.
He called a blacl supremacist racist gimmick the nation of domination "black seperatists" hahahhaa why are whites white supremacists but blacks get to ve called "seperatists" when black supremacy is more toxic than anything. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 i liked the nation of domination and two of some of my favorite wrestlers came from thag grouo. D lo brown and the godfather. For me i remember him as his cooler gimmick. Papa shango.
I got back into after about 10 years.
Can't believe how great the men and women are now. It's insane!
Anyone that grew up a fan should take a peek, because it's on fire again!
I loved Scott Hall and six pack
😂😂😂
Only a minute in and I know this is going to be good
Fun fact: Abe Lincoln is the longest reigning NWA heavyweight Champion of all time. Both Vince McMahon and Billy Corgan recognize his title reign as Great Lakes Heavyweight Champion.
Jesus saves
I still love wrestling
This is about 25 years old….
I remember watching this as a kid and I loved it!
Rip to all these legends ❤
Never caught this from the beginning every time it aired on TV. Glad to watch it now.
Jeff summed it up real good at 5:25.
Andre allowed Hogan to win the titke? Wtf are they talking about and smoking? Hogan was the champion already and Andre was the challenger…… 🤦♂️🤦♂️
So pretty much george hackensmidt is the father of big men wrestling and carl gonch is the father of technical wrestling…my favorite style.
Hogan can’t help but lie lol. He said when they had their WM3 match he knew Andre was hurting, but he didn’t know he was about to die. He lived 5 more years after that match lol.
