  1. Talia just finished her doctorate, and will be focusing on academia for the next little while, so you might not see her on Animalogic for a bit! Thank you so much Talia, and hope to see you back soon!

  2. Congratulations, Talia.🎉 You certainly earned that doctorate. And if you ask me, the real velociraptor is much more interesting than the Hollywood version. Maybe you could do a video on Dienonychus some day, the real raptors of Jurassic Park.

  3. I have known about this inaccuracy since I discovered the JP franchise wiki’s explanation of it. The films’ depiction is based on a Deinonychus’ skeleton. When interviewed about his book, Michael Crichton even admitted it back in 1989.

  4. Great video, just a minor correction: birds DIDN'T "evolve from therapods", birds ARE therapods. This is important because it's the exact same thing of saying "humans evolved from primates" so I would be careful with the choice of words there

  5. Now I hope they do clone dinosaurs and some raptors escape. I think you will regret saying they didn't hunt human sized game. I guarantee if turkeys were as well armed as raptors and a little bit smarter humans would be on the menu

  6. A small correction: In Michael Crichton’s book, the velociraptors were the scientifically accurate size. Spielberg is the one that decided to make them deinonychus size but keep the ”scarier” sounding name of velociraptor.

Personally I think deinonychus is a vicious, badass sounding name in its own right, but I understand.
