fishing till you got bamboo woulda helped you greatly with the wood needs. you catch one and it grows great in sand. the sticks and string could be an issue, but it woulda killed the wood issue.

wandering traders are useful, and you can have several around at a time. I used them aa STORE BY MAKING STALLS, AND HONEY BLOCK FLOORS) i used them in the bizarre type settings. strange thing they dont count as villagers strangely.

Just a helpful tip. Always try to protect your villages with walls or fences instead of blocks because little zombies like to squeeze through small spaces and attack them

If you’re looking for lifelike mods there’s a bunch around temperatures, thirst and water cleaning which are all annoying and stressing but there’s the other side That had backpacks, better agriculture and like actual cooking, I think the crops one is named Pam’s harvest craft which I find pretty cool kinda feel like the sims 4 I first saw it in TheCaptainsTV’s videos and I know there’s also like engineer craft with water wheels and stuff That are pretty cool but I never played with it
