And now, the latest GDP numbers point to the fact that India’s economy is performing much better compared to the other major economies of the world. Germany, for example, is in a recession. Meanwhile, the chances of a recession in India are negligible. Why is India faring better? Palki Sharma decodes.

  1. Cannot get over the fact people are super proud around a single number that doesn't take in to account the wellbeing or actual demographic and bashing economists who look at the bigger picture than of a number spitting system. GDP every rising doesn't constitute to anything when taken without it's context and if doesn't serve the collective. All the countries running behind a single number as if ever ending growth of anything is good lmao. Ask your body. Any sustainable system needs an optimum, a saturation the climate change , resource depletion, growth of economic difference, extreme polarization are all global threats to be worried about but evry country is running and there we are winning a race that we all as humans are loosing. There there's national issues like communal hate, unemployment, exploitative capitalism, thousands of house holds dropped below poverty line, lack of basic human amenities and self esteem because of the divide between the classes. The ignorance of my fellow citizens is hurtful to look at. Economy with out majority people not being able to participate in it, where the creamy layer reaps and generates this huge amount of capital to keep flowing among themselves. Mr Prime Minister claims to give schemes and rarions to lakhs of poor and say india is marching for it's greatest development. Both cannot be true at same time or u just exclude your own people from whatever you call it upliftment. Don't come after me for supporting anyone.gdp is one of many aspects of wellbeing and people often miss that very point. You don't have to be a Congress or Bjp staunch supporter. You can be rational and observe , think and be in solidarity of the people and yourself. Iam one of them.

  2. Palki, its time for you to speak about what's going on India. Speak about yesterday's train derailment tragedy.
We don't want the growth forecast as it's nothing to do with ordinary people. Speak for ordinary people and prove your responsibility on social ethics

  3. I don't understand these assessments as well as our double standard view to it. I mean if it's in our favour we accept it and take pride in it as this one, But if it's not then criticize. Just shut up and we have to do our own research on ground level not hypothetically. not being dependent on these assessment . If we accept this why not others????????

  4. Reporters don't talk about the per capita income. Becoming 4th largest and 3rd largest economy will obviously going be a great feet, but what about per capita income. No one talks about it.
Government need to focus on increasing per capita income. That defines how strong the economy is.
Germany is in technical recession but look at the per capita income.

Chinese delivery people begging for orders, small shop owners are shutting down business, Indian middle class have been looted with Taxes, no housing, some of the lower income lines do not even have fresh drinking water. Its a outright joke.

  11. I have tremendous respect for the outstanding work of Dr. Shashi Tharoor's captivating book, How British looted 45 trillion from India which unquestionably stands as a masterpiece of the highest quality. The content of the book is truly awe-inspiring, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The dedication and hard work poured into the book are greatly appreciated by many. Additionally, the Union Public Service Commission has delivered a remarkable report titled संघ लोक सेवा आयोग How Britishers killed 1.8 billion Indians. Chronology of British Raj's exploitative policies | UPSC," which is equally astounding. The commission consistently produces insightful and thought-provoking articles of the utmost caliber, and I sincerely hope they continue to produce such exceptional work.

I am really impressed and have so much respect for their achievements in the last 23 years is truly amazing. Especially in technology, it is incredible. So many successful accomplishments and so many wonderful projects. Compare to my India
