When it comes to the sniffles caused by hanging out with your friend’s pet cat, it turns out that chickens can give us a helping hand. Or, wing.

Proplan if anyone wants to know what brand of food makes this allergy food
Fascinating🤯
wow! Amazing. I would love to have a pet cat, but I'm so super allergic that I would end up in the hospital if I had one. Maybe one day I can have a cat without getting sick.
waddahell. science is magic
whew! I was afraid you were going to say I had to eat the eggs – which I am allergic to, as well as cats.
I am allergic to cats, and I still own two. I just own stock in claritin is all, lol.
That's amazing, I'm allergic to my cats!!
and then the all organic people get ahold of this and BOOM its now considered a bad thing to get this for cats
Wiah there were something like that for dogs. I get hives from their saliva :/
Dated a girl with 2 cats who i feel in love with (the cats) let me tell you that 70 bucks for a 16lb bag of cat food was worth every penny. It's not 100% but id only be a little sniffly after having a cat sleep on my chest which is better than damn near dying just being around them
I am ok eating eggs. But since when we are arrogant enough to treat our allergies by dosing others?
Wouldn't it be more effective to have the human eat the egg yolk so they can be safe from all cats not just a single cat?
That is fire.
kitties going to all that work synthesizing a protein…
Oh my goodness! Thank you for this information! I don't know if it will be enough to let me have a cat, but there is a very cuddly cat that mooches and hangs around my place. I will track down that cat food! And until then, on occasion, I will offer the little moocher an egg yolk from our chickens! (The kitty hangs out in the hen yard all the time hoping to catch little birds that come to steal chicken feed)
Soon the cats will be in control of the entire population.
That explains why my allergies to cats doesn’t bother me. I have cats, I had chickens up until recently, and I will again someday. The cats and the chickens were exposed to each other, in fact, one of my cats love to sleep in the chicken coop. I do miss those wonderful legs.
But will cooking the yoke neutralize the antibodies?
I'm really grateful that I don't have any kind of allergies. It would've been hard for me to survive as given my personality😅
I'm not even gonna fact check that. I wanna live in this universe where this is happening.
I'M ALLERGIC TO ANIMALS AND HAVE CHICKENS, WHY DIDN'T I KNOW THIS
Or I could eat those eggs and care for cats.
I'll have to tell one of my college instructors about this, because he likes cats but is allergic to them.
Do all chickens do this? I have chickens and cats
But how would it affect the cat? Surly the can needs that protein right?
Somehow it's nice to see bald Hank on scishow
I'm looking at my 3 cats and thinking I should get this cat food so my allergies don't screw with me all the time (yes, I'm a masochist, but I love my furbabies!)
Does this mean egg orices are goingg to go back up now if this gets incorporated? Or even worse, there's a new empathically phrased argument for the continuation of factory farm operations?
What would happen if a person with a cat allergy ate those eggs?
Or you can just get desensitisation therapy and no longer be allergic to cats. Your allergies are greatly reduced in less than a year anyway, but it takes 5 years of treatment for it to stick.
You can combine it with other anti allergy desensitisations as well. I was sensitive to bee stings which is more of a incentive to get treatment, so I got everything (including dust mites) done at once.
And the good news is I can now pat a bee safely.

Now do a vid on how cats are an invasive species that have driven 60+ species closer to extinction
me, who's allergic to eggs: DAMN IT
Everyone needs a cat. They’re so funny and adorable.
"Immunization of cats to induce neutralizing antibodies against Fel d 1, the major feline allergen in human subjects", Franziska Thoms et al., 2019
So cool.
Ok where’s the magic chicken I need it to allow me to squish my face against fluffy cat fur.
