Just think, they were going to do away with this plane at one point.
They are unfortunately but I hope they will replace old models w/ new Super A10s i bet they will be more cost effective and will continue being the most amazing CAS platform

I still believe that while awaiting the F-16 aircraft, America should send the Super A-10 plane to Ukraine. Giving them a weapon that doesn’t have to worry about land mines.
Psychological warfare makes a big difference. Everywhere the A10 has been deployed, it has caused psychological trauma to opposing ground forces, both infantry and armored units. I say keep them in use for several more decades. By then all military fighter pilots will be flying from air conditioned offices, maybe even cubicles.

The F35 just cannot take hits like the A10 has done and return home with the pilot alive and hit targets close to it's own troops the distinct engines it's gun puts fear into those it's about to give hell a new meaning they say cost it's too much to maintain it's to old that the F35 can do it all it can not do what it can that include fear to it's enemy a relief of it's troop it's protecting.
What is the cost of a new A10 to a F35 that includes maintenance cost per flying hours and the main thing protect both pilot and the troops below how can you put a price on that at all. the other is a question why is Russia building more of it's equivalent attack aircraft the Frogfoot.
