THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE! Medieval 2 Total War is by now a 17 year old game, but which somehow manages to blow my mind all these years later, and it’s all thanks to the work of the talented and passionate modders. Just imagine what an ACTUAL Medieval 2 Remastered could be like!

By combining the mods of Freecam and the Stainless Steel Historical Immersion Project, alongside my very own reshade preset settings, I’ve remastered Medieval 2 Total War to the point where it’s literally better and more modern feeling than ever. The game both looks and feels fantastic, and if you want the exact same experience, then I got the goods for you right here at the bottom.

  5. Been playing SSHIP for a long time, great mod that started out as a Sub mod for Stainless Steel. Another Sub mod is Titanium .
    Haven't uploaded a SSHIP campaign yet as it really is a lot slower paced than nearly every other Med 2 mod out there. But it's awesome for personal playthroughs.

  14. One small thing I was sad to see go in newer TW iterations was the on the map trade caravans, such an easy sprite to add to the campaign and it really brought the map to life.. no idea why they scrapped it.

  26. Why do peole want a Remaster when there are already lots of Remasters made by modders?

    I want proper and brand new Medieval 3 with new features and not just remaster.

  27. mtw2 mods are not user friendly. they are hard to download. wars of liberty is a mod for ages of empires 3. very easy to download. you just need the original game installed, download the mod and you're finished. total war mods should be as easy

  28. I’ve tried Stainless Steel but the game kept crashing at a certain turn. I spent like 2 hours reading online trying to fix it but it never worked. It’s a shame because I loved the historical accuracy.

  31. I'd say, I'd rather take Medieval 2 Remaster than Medieval 3. Not because I have anything against Eurocentric of Historical Total War, but because we all know that we're going to pay 60 bucks for a half-baked, bug-filled game, and has to spend another 60 bucks or double that amount spreading over the years to get the same amount of content that Medieval 2 offer out of the box. If CA didn't decide to pull the plug first like they did to Three Kingdoms that is.
