Two children have been rescued from a group of six others and two adults who have been trapped in a cable car dangling above a ravine in Pakistan.
The group, aged between 10 and 16, were heading to school when one of the cables snapped, leaving it dangling 274m (900ft) above the ground.
A police officer has confirmed that both the rescued children are in a stable condition.
Strong winds have been hindering the precarious operation, and sunset is approaching.

The truth of the matter is that the remaining individuals were only saved once the prolonged charade came to an end. Local volunteers, without any monetary incentive and without the assistance of helicopters, managed to rescue the rest within a mere 3 hours. not only cable cars in Pakistan, but I also avoid to board on PIA (Pakistan International Airline) which has many unfortunate incidents since last decade and even long before. Pakistan needs to focus on their poor quality transportation, instead of engaging in nonsense politics which has no outcome.
