If you are Coming from the Atlantic to the pacific, and visa versa, you have no choice but to travel this vast area of ocean. It’s also heavy with air traffic. It should come as no surprise then that more ships, planes, etc go down in what’s often referred to as “hurricane alley” than most other places around the planet. Rogue waves, storms, etc have frequently been reported in the area.
