The fact is that Niger's coup plotters are not going to walk away and hand over the reins of power back to Bazoum just because ECOWAS says so. Who does that? If that happens, what kind of men would you call them? ECOWAS is acting like a little boy by issuing threats before dialogue. ECOWAS has no plans for a dialogue. All it wants is a military intervention to flex muscles and show power. It will never agree with Niger's new leaders on anything besides going to war. ECOWAS is just pretending to be interested in dialogue to try to avoid eventual blame. Niger is the side that is handling this matter in a mature manner. "Go to the ant you ECOWAS and learn its ways and be wise."
