Padres have no chemistry
It's funny how 2 of the big 3 , Machado and Soto spoke after the meeting but Tatis was silent… Tatis seems to be the common denominator.. he's a cancer and needs to go. How can an athlete that young be fatigued? He hasn't even played the entire season!
After the leaked conversation between ESPN and the PAC about tv contracts, this whole situation is completely self inflicted. ESPN was willing to give them $30 mil per school and that arrogant pac presidents said they wanted $50 mil.
Just total hubris all around, honestly I don’t think the Big12 should have taken those schools if nothing else than the potential cancer they could be in the new Big12 culture.
Any MWC team that leaves for the current pac is a fool. I get that these MWC teams have been chasing power 5 invites but they seriously have to know that the party is over for the PAC. It’s the big east all over again, the American insisted heavily that there was a “power 6”, that was right before they got raided beyond belief.
Also I can’t imagine half of the MWC in favor of a merge if they know that they are despised by cal/Stanford or that they want to trim some fat.
Also try convincing Wyoming, Utah state, Nevada, SJSU, Hawaii, and New Mexico that some or all of them won’t get kicked out of a “merged conference.”
On that topic Wyoming would thrive in a relegation based system, we wouldn’t be in the “premier” league per say but we would probably be above Cock Sucker university since we beat them every year.
