A Florida deputy sheriff is being hailed a hero after stopping a runaway boat. Police bodycam footage shows Deputy Travis Fernandes spring into action to stop the dangerously out-of-control boat. The driver of the runaway boat was thrown into the ocean but later rescued. Fernandes leaped from his patrol boat onto the speeding vessel going more than 40 miles per hour and stopped the boat. “It was a rush,” Fernandes says. “It was awesome to be able to stop that vessel.”
