Elden Ring lore explained: Godrick the Grafted

So this guy was pretty complicated! It seems there is a lot of in game speculation/hinting by characters that he is not really fit for the throne and his bloodline relation to Marika is weak (ref. Enia after his battle, Kenneth Haight). Fun to dig around and try to piece together a backstory for him!

  1. Great voice please keep em coming! I feel the videos are too short though. But thanks always for taking the effort. I just beat Royal Knight Loretta and all of the early game mini bosses. Can't wait for more Elden ring lore!

I'm super curious about the family tree of the Gods/Demi Gods. If you ever get a chance to investigate I'd love to learn more because there seems to be a ton of interesting relationships between them.

  5. Isn't it a bit of a stretch to state that Godefroy must be Godrick's direct ancestor? The game pretty explicitly states that Godrick and Godwyn are Godfrey's sons. If anything, it is more likely that Godefroy is a creation of Godrick's or something along those lines.
