  1. I believe Skinner was being purposely suspicious to hide the fact that there are multiple killers. He was at every crime scene, and threatened the victims Infront of sergeant Angel, to draw the attention away from others. He probably thought that he wouldn't get arrested because he had a alibi. The actor who portrayed him was James Bond at some point

  2. You obviously noticed David Bradley, aka Walder Frey from GOT, playing the nearly incomprehensible farmer, but you didn't notice that Rory McCann, aka The Hound, played Michael, aka Lurch!

While not part of the Cornetto Trilogy, the movie Paul, is another fun flick starring Nick and Simon, that's worth a watch!

  3. Cornetto – It’s the ridiculously mundane amidst the extraordinary. It’s reflective of the characters themselves, ordinary and therefore ridiculously out of context within the extraordinary circumstances they find themselves. Also hilarious.

  4. This honestly is my favorite of the Cornetto trilogy. The World's End is…admittedly my 2nd favorite.
Its called the Cornetto trilogy because it's similar and has ice cream brand in the UK featured in all 3 films. (SOTD: Red or Strawberry, HF: Blue or regular, and TWE: Green or Mint )

  5. I lived in Gloucestershire for a while and I can't overstate how true to life the portrayal of small town West Country life this film nails on the head (obviously exagerrated for comedy)

  6. The "Romeo and Juliet" production was based around the 90s "modernized retelling" rendition, starring I believe Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio.

As I recall, all the things Danny asked Nicholas "have you ever…" they ended up doing by the end of the movie. I could be mistaken though.

I was waiting to see your reaction to Walder Frey's appearance.

The first scene we see Nicholas and the lady from the hotel we have the "fascist" and "hag" exchange. In the showdown between them, there it is again.

I loved when Cody said "close the door" when the sea mine started ticking… As you can see a few seconds later, closing the door wouldn't make a difference. (Remember those things are built to come into contact with a warship and put a hole in it to hopefully sink it.

  7. The Romeo and Juliet performance is a call back to the 90's version staring Leonardo Dicaprio and Claire Danes. If you haven't seen it you should check it out. Very trippy version of Romeo and Juliet that was directed by Baz Lurmann, the same guy that directed Muilan Rouge.

  8. I could list off all my favorite things about this movie but I haven't got time at the minute. I've seen so many videos of people reacting to this movie and only one time has anyone ever known that they were directly drawing from 1996's Romeo + Juliet with Claire Danes and Leo DiCaprio and it makes me sad, because that movie is an incredible interpretation of the play. The colors! The attention to detail (the guns in the film are Sword brand, all the billboards are old english text etc etc), the music! Fuckin…Paul Rudd is in it! Nobody knows about it and I find that very sad.

Hot Fuzz is one of my favorite movies of all time – it has everything. It even has the mountain from GoT….and director of LoTR trilogy Peter Jackson as father christmas (who stabs Nicholas in the intro). It's probably one of the best movies ever made.

  9. I have the DVD releases of the Cornetto Trilogy.
There is a bonus feature on the Hot Fuzz edition that allows trivia bubbles to "pop up" in the film, with endless amounts of trivia( eg: the Santa who stabs Nicholas is played by Peter "LOTR" Jackson), including hundreds of film references that just go by too quickly for most to catch.
Unlike most films, this trilogy offers Augmenting Returns…
    Never Diminishing.

PS: "Bridget has never seen Hot Fuzz…."
    PHRASING!
