I love this song because of the interesting direction he takes the vocals. To me this song in particular is very foreshadowing of what Greta is trying to do in their most recent album ( Starcatcher), and I think it would fit right in. I feel like I’m exploring the galaxy when I listen to it. 😄
Josh explains the cosmic meaning behind Trip The Light Fantastic:
“We're just stardust and carbon,” he says. “And we continue to just sort of waltz through time. And nothing is good or bad – it's all just what it is. And that’s the lackadaisical spiritualism of that song. And there is a lot of Eastern philosophy implemented into that track. It’s like a very bizarre psychedelic parade that's just sort of dissolving into the sky.”

That’s what I love about you! You get the meaning and magic that they are trying to convey with their songs. This is a song about mindfulness, just like you said, and it’s one of my favorites from the Battle at Garden’s Gate album, because I love the words, but also love the background guitar riffs that you can hear with headphones on. Definitely a float-away song!
Takes me back to the 70's and 80'. Great band!
