One or two minor points. But I would say as a whole Nevada government is doing a good job and the checks and balances seem to be working. If more states were run by Nevada we might be living in a better country. The first thing laws need to be are practical.

What most people don’t see is the human trafficking associated with people peddling food on sidewalks. The irony of government oversight is comical. 9-5 desk job, “We do not have the resources to enforce laws.”

The hot dog vendors in LA & the Bay Area are very aggressive. By all means, I get that everyone needs to make a living.
At a tax-free average of $200 a night at 6 days a week, that’s nearly $4,800 tax free dollars every month. That’s great money. I get it. They also have to pay their “fees.”
BUT, when you ask them to please move onto the sidewalk and off your property or private property in general, they ignore you completely and do what they want to do.
No one without a permit or license should be allowed to sell food.

Lombardo will be a one-term governor. Voters decided that Sisolak had to be personally punished for closing the casinos, but not the party as a whole. By the time the next gubernatorial election rolls around, several hundred thousand more people will have moved from southern CA into Clark County. Rural voters in Nye and Elko counties are going to be outnumbered 10 to 1. His little stunt of vetoing increased voting hours is not going to save him.
