Welcome to the capital of Lombardy – Milan! In this video, I’ll take you through the Milan Malpensa airport to the gate where a Delta A330 awaits to take us over Piedmont and the Alps to New York where we fly the PARCH Arrival procedure to runway 4R. Something interesting happened on departure! As always, this is a fully narrated video highlighting the joys of the window seat!

Is this 293 passengers and what registration code
I've wondered why Euro departures are listed by time. Very difficult to find the next flight out to the same destination. For some reason here at Kansas City, MCI, flights are listed by time. Come visit our new airport. First in US with glass jetways.
I have seen late retraction of landing gears quite a few times during my +20 years living just 1 mile from a international airport runway. I would say this has been a rare thing and happened mostly to wide-bodies aircraft but I remember some of them were also narrow bodies. Guess everybody can have hot brakes from time to time. Interestingly I was surprised to see how the flaps were left out for so long in your video, probably like almost up to 10'000 ft which is far more than the usual departure flap retraction schedule. The gear out explains it, as the flaps retraction schedule goes along with an significant increase of speed, which could have exceeded the gear retraction maximum speed in particular when heavy like you probably were for a LH flight.
This same thing happened to me on a Delta a321 from Atl to Lga. The wheels came back out and he did not climb past 10,000. The captain said the brake sensor was reading very hot. He was then cleared to retract and we went to fl30. It was fine and the plane landed in Lga with no issues. I wonder if this is an airbus thing or just something that’s more common then we think. Happy travels. Loving the content.
Disagree that the 4s are efficient. They're not. 4L departures have to take to account 4R arrivals in case there is a missed approach, especially since the 4L departure airspace is very limited (they have to immediately turn right after departure). As a result, the 4L departure throughput is less than when using the 22s.
Che meraviglia Pietroooo !
Mi è piaciuto molto la musica.
Grazie, auguri !
Ciao amico !
Cheers from Brazil!
I enjoyed the breathtaking views of the Alps. Stinks that clouds obscured much of the flight. The Long Island and NYC views were awesome.
Wonderful! Thanks Peter –
What a GREAT video!! I loved the views of the Alps! It was spectacular! Thank you so much for sharing this flight with us. Marvelous!
Hi Peter – Delta just opened a new lounge at JFK by the A gates a week or two ago. I think it’s next to gate A7. Have you been in there yet? I hear it’s very nice.
Awesome! Thanks.
Yeap! I love your videos man… no doubt. I feel a little bit sad about the cloud layers where so thick that so many features where missed!… however is good to know that those clouds help to keep a little bit cooler this amazing planet.
😂 Hahaha!!! Thank you for sharing your trip there in Italy. So nice being there!!! 😂 Hahaha!!
12:33 Sorry, but the largest lake in Italy is Lago di Garda. However, great and really beautiful video, thank you from Germany!
Props for using Marriage of Figaro for the intro!
