I found "Alexander" to be enjoyable but certainly not memorable. I'm happy to say I've managed to avoid seeing any of the rest. Honestly, I hadn't heard of some of them!
Cats…oh my Lord …😱😱😱
Thumbs up if you agree that the movie of Les Miserables was lucky not to be panned. How on earth Hathaway won an Oscar – it's ludicrous.
How on earth is The Last Duel on this list? And I loved Anthropoid. It's such an underrated film.
I watched the Kristen Stewart film about Diana. No fan in general of the actress but surprisingly a really good film.
I thought you guys got more nuanced
The last duel wasn't bad but wasn't great I'm sick of Hollywood the perverts the nepotism the twisted bigotry the selfishness
Boycott this shit i cant do it alone
A video talking about cinema meh. It was hard to get excited about it 😂
“Crash” is laughing maniacally holding clutching its Oscars
Will Smith has Oscar bated for decades!!!!
Movies aside, I cannot figure out why Princess Di is still so famous as all that. What did she DO, other than marry and divorce Prince Charles? She made no scientific, political, artistic, or any other contributions to the world. Whatever you think of John Lennon, at least he contributed music to the world.
Seven pounds was a great movie tho
Nah The Last Duel is a great movie.
Those hands in Diana at 1:30
✋🏻✊🏻👈🏻👉🏻🤘🏻🖕🏻🤝
Star Wars episode 8.
My best friend and I snuck a handle of Jack into the Cats movie and made a drinking game out of the movie best decision ever only way we got though the movie
Number 9: the reason cats failed it has nothing to do with the original Play, were the original play was spectacular.
This movie change the gender of one of the charecters, and the plot.
Even rebel wilson and James Cordon was at the awards taking a stab at the effects.
Number 7: sia cant direct stick to her day job.
2: P.T barman once said, everyone is born a sucker.
Colin Farrell looks like Farrah Fawcett.
Will Smith finally won and then…ruh roh
Number ten sounds like an insect…lmbo
I don't think The Greatest Showman was fishing for Academy attention.
I would put Hollywoodland on this list. It had all the makings of an Oscar winning movie, great cast(Ben affleck, Adrian Brody), based on a true story in American history(the death of George reeves, the first Superman) and really cinematic for that extra bit of drama and coming out near the end of the year which is prime award season. And the movie ended up being…okay…
The last dual had promise in its theory, but it was so boring.
Release the butthole cut of Cats!!
This list is ridiculous…some of these aren’t even Oscar bait. The rankings make no sense. And some of the films mention are awesome but the Oscar’s snubbed them. I have no idea what the criteria for this list was. Go watch anthropoid, Babylon, last duel, and make up your own mind.
No mention of Roger Smith's "Oscar Gold" ? Trash list. 😀
7:17 Christian Bale's Michael Shannon Impression ahahah😂
Jodie Comer for Last duel was one of the biggest snubs that year……
I didn't know "Welcome to Marwen" was an Oscar-bate style movie (but knowing the director, it makes sense). I enjoyed it, but it had the feel of an indie film. Maybe like it was an A24 film. As in, movies that are low budget because they don't have the backing of big studio Hollywood, but usually punch above their weight class in how entertaining they are.
The movie really was carried by Steve Carrell, Merritt Wever & Leslie Mann, iirc, but then again, its not like the movie had a big world. (If you catch my drift.)
Cats was a dreadful movie. But even if it had been good it's unlikely it would have been a big Oscar contender.
I honestly have to ask if Watch Mojo believes "Good movie with incredible cast and acting" is what makes an "Oscar Bait". Amsterdam, The Last Duel and The Greatest Showman where utterly fantastic films that I fully recommend, but they are not nor where they intended to be "Oscar Bait" in my mind.
Last Duel was not that awful. Not really Oscar-good, but not too shabby.
The Last Duel was brillant movie, such a shame it tanked at box office 😕
I liked the greatest showman. Loved the soundtrack!
I'd add Life Itself to the list. I have no doubt the writer was putting his Oscar speech together in his head while writing that pretentious piece of garbage.
