  1. Great segment. Thanks. On the issue of the 2018 Rams, Steve, you are mistaken on how the Rams performed after that Bears game. The team did lose the following week to the Eagles in the Coliseum but by a 30-23 score with Goff missing a pass to Josh Reynolds in the corner on a last second chance to tie. The next two games to end the season were blowout wins over the Cardinals 31-9 and 49ers 48-32 (the last time the Rams beat SF in the regular season). The Rams dominated the Cowboys 30-22 in the Divisional playoff win and Goff led an amazing comeback win of New Orleans in the loudest most hostile playoff atmosphere 26-23. The Rams began employing 2 tight ends and moved away from their usual 3 wide receiver look after that Bears game. Gurley was shut down and did not play against Arizona & SF with CJ Anderson becoming a late season star to carry the running duties. The McCourtry brothers credited Brian Hoyer who did the scout team duties for the Super Bowl win, and who diagnosed what the calls, routes and check down options would be in the Rams offense having played under Shanahan and seeing the obvious similarities. Both brothers refuted much of the media story line blaming Goff for the SB loss, including the pass to Hooks that everyone thought was late but was not. A Sports Illustrated article in the spring of 2019 detailed the story.

  2. Jordan is absolutely brilliant. Every time you have her on its a great podcast. This is one of the best shows of the entire off-season. It went in good detail enough to not be basic (aka casual) and not too far into detail to be boring. Now lets get 6 hour breakdowns of each team starting Monday until we get some football started up.

  3. Always great content….Shanny w/ Matt Ryan was pretty different passing offenses.

Washington Redskins had Shanny, McVay, LaFleur, and O'Connell…But stuck with bad head coaches after Mike was fired.

Atlanta didn't promote LaFleur after Shanny left and hired Steve Sarkisian instead. LaFleur went to TEN for that one season as OC.

Shanny's coaching tree is so underrated.
