It's a shame that Paul Newman died, but I think they did their best to strengthen the story and his significance to it. Cars 2 was utter garbage, but Doc hovered high above the heart of Cars 3's story.
You mentioned Brody’s death but not Henry’s(Sean Connery) from Indians Jones. They mentioned it in the clip and in Crystal kingdom, he tells Mutt •Somewhere, your grandfather is laughing”
rest easy Chadwick and Carrie
And then there was Harry Potter, which should have died with Richard Harris.
Unpopular Opinion: I don't necessarily buy into the myth that "once the actor dies, nobody can ever play their character again." Want proof? Look at the following examples:
– Christopher Reeve as Superman. There have been plenty of other Superman actors that did well as the Man of Steel.
– Richard Harris as Dumbledore. They didn't cancel the Harry Potter movies after Chamber of Secrets simply because of Harris's death, or edit it so Dumbledore wasn't in Prisoner of Azkaban onwards. Michael Gambon was decent enough, even if it did lead to the infamous "Dumbledore asked calmly" meme.
– Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa. Vivien Lyra Blair did great acting as the young Leia in Obi-Wan Kenobi, possessing much of the character that Carrie brought.
Harrison Ford is still alive at this point, but the late River Phoenix did a fine job as Young Indiana Jones at the beginning of Last Crusade, and so did Sean Patrick Flanery in the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. Alden Ehrenreich also did a respectable performance as Han Solo in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Plus, we've had Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland as Spider-Man, with the three of them returning in No Way Home.
I'm not making this because I don't wanna show respect for the actors, but I don't necessarily believe that every character has to be played by one actor or they can't appear at all.
not that impactful
When I heard about Chadwick Boseman I was actually in a field in Dorset, trying to fix the radio in my mum’s van.
You forgot Orson Wells in The Transformers movie 1986
Which AI and CGI could fix this problem for a future movies. No more oops I died during movies production and having to re-cast a new actor for future movies 🍿
Aoleon Joffer wasn’t the only character that was killed off because of Madge Sinclair’s death. She and James Earl Jones play Simba’s parents Mufasa and Sarabi in The Lion King. Sarabi doesn’t die in the franchise but they decided not to not get a replacement out of respect to Sinclair. Which is why she’s not in the sequal or the shows.
Unfortunately, the only honorable mention I can think of right now is Brandon Lee's (yes, Bruce Lee's son) Eric Draven in the 1993 thriller "The Crow" since Brandon was killed in real life, only he was killed on-set by co-star Michael Masse who played blond henchman Funboy. Those nicknames sound like supervillains.
Wait, I forgot about Nicholas Wilde from "Zootopia" because the actor who played the cocky con artist fox passed away while Disney was thinking of a sequel in which Nick and Judy were going to be married by "Hudred Yard Dash" Flash the sloth who worked at the D.M.V with the other sloths.
It definitely sucks that they all passed away
Out of all of them. T’challa and Docs passing hurt me the most… their voice actors were incredible and they were amazing characters. Doc made my childhood and off or on the big screen… Chad made me feel hope… I miss them… but will never forget them. 😢😢❤❤❤
Did they not mention the Dumbledore change in actors after the first one died after 2 movies?
0:45 wait Samuel loomis like billy loomis from scream
3:55 float like a Cadillac
Steam like a beemer
7:48 egon not speaking in the afterlife movie was perfect because his actions spoke very clearly
Legends all of them..
No Paul Walker?
Carrie Fisher
rip doc hudson! you were in my childhood, legend <3
Stupid video, sorry. Horrible.
I really didn’t think that Egon was going to come back as a Ghost
Rest in peace Paul Newman and Chadwick bowman
It's definitely Leia Organa for me. I'm a die hard Star Wars fan who grew up with the original Trilogy. Carrie died before the release of The Last Jedi, and there was a tribute to her in the end credits. Then we all knew The Rise of Skywalker would be emotional, because they had to give Leia her farewell on screen. JJ Abrams did well with Leia's farewell scene, and Chewie's emotional reaction really sent it home
I was very young when Paul Newman passed away, but I do remember hearing about that. As for Carrie Fisher and Chadwick Boseman, I broke down in tears!! I LOVED Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther and I’m white! Chadwick Boseman was a true hero and inspiration to EVERYONE BOTH on AND off-screen!!
The one that honestly hit me the hardest in the engine was Paul Newman as Doc Hudson. Watching the end credits to Cars 1 makes me tear up nowadays…I simply can’t help it.
I miss Doc and really wish they handled the second Cars movie better…I have a plot in my mind that pays better tribute and works way better
Paul Walker fast and Furious franchise
Paul walker was a huge part of the fast series. His death had a rippling affect
Where’s Paul Walker in all of this video?
I miss Doc Hudson so much…
RIP Doc Hudson(1940-2012)
The actress who played princess Leah on a new hope still hurts me the most.
rip Paul Newman
Mayor West from family guy deserved atleast a mention…
“I may of lost a boss, but heaven has gained a princess” – Peter Griffin
we just gonna skim over paul walkers death are we?
Rip doc Hudson/ Paul Newman: my childhood
As much as an atrocity as the rise of skywalker was, i did like the Carrie fisher cameo
I remember when Paul Newman passed when I was a kid, and he was Doc to me 🙁 And I can vividly remember the moment I found out Chadwick Boseman passed as well. He also meant a lot to me :((( … Rest in peace to all the actors and actresses on this list.
Carrie Fisher died of a cocaine overdose🙄
Almost nobody gives any credit to Donald Pleasance as Dr Loomis
RIP Donald Pleasance
The Man Who Never Stopped Chasing The Shape
What about Paul walker for the fast in furious franchise 🤔 😎
Wakanda losing 2 governors in less than one decade is really tough
