An Australian sailor who was rescued by a Mexican tuna boat after being adrift at sea with his dog for three months has said he is grateful to be alive after setting foot on dry land for the first time since their ordeal began.

Timothy Lyndsay Shaddock, 54, disembarked with his dog Bella in the Mexican city of Manzanillo after being examined onboard the boat that rescued him, the Maria Delia.
Shaddock said he was grateful to the captain and fishing company that saved his life and he added he would be returning to Australia soon and was looking forward to seeing his family. Bella was adopted by Genaro Rosales, a crew member from Mazatlan.

Oh Bella hope u have better ppl now… the only thing he survived is an loving and sharing animal and he left her behind… i never would do that…
A drift for 3 months and then they stole his dog great
third world police state france. France has a military military of one million war robots, one hundred war drones and one hundred war satellites.
Looks like a pirate out of Waterworld
Australia requires a long quarantine for dogs
I HOPE HIS DOG LEAVE HIM. LAIK HIS EX WIFE.
The poor dog. What a way to get rewarded for helping him get through such a tough ordeal. This sucks.
Very easy for Indians to get into Australia but nearly impossible for Dogs.
Willem Dafoe is ready for action!
I was crushed in learning that he did not keep Bella. You could tell that the dog wanted to stay with the man and he earned the right to stay with him. Shaddock's rescue story is much diminished by this unhappy (to me) ending.
This guy beat cancer and this? Amazing!!
Drugs and weapons? Ugh. If you go watch the full video, he is asked that SEVERAL times even though he said NO the first time, and then the first thing they want to do is search the boat. I mean READ the f*ing room! The man started crying when you approached, is all alone and is clearly emaciated. How about provide some f*ing assistance before you start your cavity search. I mean! Try not to shoot him dead, I know it will be really hard for you!
Classic story of Saturn in Pisces. Saturn represents “ black or brown” and black and brown dogs, birds and a few other animals represent archetype of Saturn. Pisces is water/ ocean etc. Astrologers predicted all sorts of “ ocean” related headlines since March when Saturn entered Pisces. I’ve noticed crazy headlines involving water/ocean since March. It’ll continue until 2025. This dog channeled Saturn which helped him live.
It's a Life of Pi situation
WHAT? Why cant he keep the dog????
I'm only here for the dog, I'm happy for him also for the fisherman.
Is the leash really necessary? Geeze
He seemed super grateful (obviously) that they were there to rescue him, and the dog also seemed so happy to see another boat and people! 0:17
I can't believe the dog was given away so quickly. That's terrible. She's likely traumatized and heartbroken. And if it's due to Australia quarantine laws, can there not be a petition or something? This dog is a hero. And I don't trust the guy that took her because it's like they stole a dog from a man who had just been rescued. Give it a minute sheesh. That dog belongs to this sailor. Somebody needs to make it happen.
Bravo, Bella!!!!!!
If I were not able to bring Bella back with me after 3 months lost at sea, I would just have to say, well I guess I won't be going back home just yet
Before asking if he had any drugs or weapons, it would have been better to ask "What happened to you?" And say "We come to rescue you", etc. But I guess he didn't care about what they asked.
I just felt like sailing!!
This guy and his dog at sea… amazing… what are the odds…
Something is not right about this story. I watched another video where he says he did NOT send out a mayday call even while texting with relatives. He said he had his finger on the button but, never pressed it???. Then he gives up the dog that most certainly helped him survive. I am a wilderness survival instructor, and I can tell you how important the dog must have been to his psychological welfare. Surely the quarantine in Australia isn't that difficult.
Why didn't he take the dog back to Australia? Weird. Very weird.
"Bella" made in México…
I was THIS close to eating the dog! See my fingers?! THAT close!
Another Castaway Movie 🎬 sequel
"Wilson!!"
