#DeadCity #Breakdown

Right off the bat we get an unusual sense of concern coming from Maggie when she asks about Negan. [clip]

The look on Maggie’s face and the tone of her voice seem a little out of place. This is one of the few times I think we’ve actually heard Maggie utter the name “Negan” without there being a sense of hate or contempt in the tone of her voice.

Now at first I thought that maybe Maggie really is desperate to have Negan with her because she feels she can’t save Herschel without him. But what this is really telling us is that Negan is an even more crucial part to Maggie’s plan to save Herschel than we had previously been led to believe. But more on that a little later.

We hear Tomasso mention the effects that breathing in the methane can have on your mind. [clip]

And we’ve already seen what can happen back in episode 3 when the Marshal was forced to breathe in methane gas from a walker tank. [clip]

Now speaking of the Marshal, we see him and Negan held up in a souvenir shop. Here we can see Negan holding a small figurine of the Statue of Liberty. Now of course the Statue of Liberty is a New York City icon you’d expect to find in any NYC souvenir shop. But there are plenty of other iconic buildings and tourist spots they could’ve chosen, so why Lady Liberty specifically?

Well the statue itself represents freedom. Negan and Maggie are both yearning for a freedom they haven’t felt since that gruesome night back in season 7 of the original series. Maggie is unable to let go of her hatred for Negan and the death of her late husband, Glenn. And Negan is unable to let go of the massive guilt he feels for what he took from her. [clip]

Both aspire to be free from that awful night that has haunted them for years. So it’s fitting that together they’ve traveled to New York City, home of Lady Liberty, a place that can represent new beginnings and a fresh start for any who seek it. [clip]

It’s also worth mentioning that the Statue of Liberty was given to the US by France. In The Walking Dead, France was the last country to fall during the outbreak–and France is also where the Daryl Dixon spin-off series will be taking place. [clip]

In this gift shop we can also see a license plate that reads “#1 Mom.” This could be in reference to Maggie, a mother who has given all she has and more to protect and provide a better life to her son, Herschell. And who has made clear she’ll stop at nothing to get him back.

But it could also be a reference to Negan’s 2nd wife, Annie, who we learned is also the mother to Negan’s only child that we’ve never actually met.

When Maggie confronts Jenny about her obsession with Negan–an obsession they share but for different reasons. Maggie tells Jenny that Negan isn’t wanted for something as simple as stealing a loaf of bread, and that he isn’t the person Jenny thinks he is.

This “loaf of bread” line could be in reference to Jean Valjean from Les Miserab. He was wrongly imprisoned for years for stealing a mere loaf of bread to feed his family. [clip]

While Negan on the other hand… [clip, bonk]

Negan tells the Marshal that he was once a gym teacher. This is true to both the original series and the comics. [clip]

Now on this wall we can see the word “sundae” spray painted real big. This could be in reference to how The Walking Dead and all of its counterparts have always aired on Sunday nights. But this was spelled s-u-n-d-a-e which is the spelling for like a hot fudge sundae. So maybe a survivor was just craving some ice cream. [clip]

Here we see Negan and the Marshal come across a really creepy assembly of baby doll parts. [clip]

This is foreshadowing the marauder style walker we get toward the end of the episode, but more on that in a bit.

These tanks down in the sewer are filled with the liquid methane fuel we heard the Croat mention in episode 3. [clip]

And then we get an awesome callback to The Walking Dead Pilot. As Negan is running away we see him encounter doors that read “Don’t Open Dead Outside.” Just like in the pilot we saw Rick Grimes encounter doors that read “Don’t Open Dead Inside.”

  1. WALKER-KING had me thinking like : WHERE BEEN SUCH CREATURES IN THE MOTHER AND SISTER SERIES ?! 😂😂🥳

Edit: Now I’m missing the Bamboo-SFX hit when Negan does his thing on Glenn 😂

I’m thinking most forget I’m the comments that Maggie is a mother in the first place, not a friend to Negan. ✌️

  2. Boring episode in my opinion. Maggie was unnecessary panic when fighting that evolved walker, and that walker isn't as scary as i imagined, infact i'm disappointed of how easy to be killed cuz Maggie have thick plot armor. Tommaso should've died in previous episode cuz there is no way he could survive that walker swarm. He was saved just to revealing that he is the SPY and then dies.

As for Negan and the Marshal scene was really good. Well, i'm here to watch Negan anyway not Maggie. She became unlikable and boring character.

  3. The way people can keep shipping Negan and Maggie makes me so ill.

Yes the actors have great chemistry but do you really picture a woman falling for and fucking the very man who killed her husband? Like seriously…WTF 🤦🏽‍♀️ 🫤

  4. I am delivering a sermon to you 🙏😊 please read

Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell  (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. Don't wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better.
And addressing/thanking the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD at the beginning and end of your prayers would be a good idea.
Be my friend and I will pray for you, but I do not know how much help me doing so will give you. You should try to practice daily prayer yourself.
I'm trying to help you get right with the LORD 🙏

    Amen.

I have worded a short prayer for you to say if you are not sure what words to use, it may not be the best but here it is 😊

''   CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD,
Please forgive me and my friends and my family for our immoral acts, please help guide us in a positive direction and please help us against evil. Please save us from Hell and have mercy on our souls. Thank you for everything CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD. Amen.  ''

Please say this at least once a day for at least a month, do it longer if you want to and can 🙏

You should prostrate yourself if you don't want to do spoken prayer, or do both 🙏😊 Please worship the LORD GOD and not any idol.

Please put your hands together 🙏 bow your head and say this prayer:
"CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD, please know that I worship you and not any idols. Thank you for everything CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD. Amen"

Say '  Om Namah Shivaya  ' or '  Om Namo Bhagavate Rudraya  ' out loud or in your head 108 times, or try to do it 1008 times 😊 try to do it everyday if you want

repeat this aloud for as long as you want to, try to do it for like an hour a day or say it in a prayer  "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner"

You can also say this prayer once a day or repeat it aloud as many times as you would like to:
"Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen." 🙏🙏

    Thessalonians 5:16-18
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

    Philippians 4:6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

"O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!"   Repeat this aloud at least 3 times or as many as you want, do it everyday if you can

I apologize for all the words 😊 I know how it may look

If you can't remember the words to any prayer, pray the words as you read them

  5. I can’t be the only one that is starting to realize that Maggie is just annoying now. Yes what Negan did wasn’t exactly “friendly” but it also doesn’t excuse the fact that she also killed plenty of families herself.

  6. I think that creature reminded me of GORO from mortal Kombat.. and maybe that creature symbolism is of Medusa (Medusa was the emblem of female power back in Ancient Greece and a symbol of both protection and aggression.) Ok I'm reading way to into this now lol sorry I'll reel it back in .. also Maggie I honestly dislike her character is not likeable anymore it's the same old shit .. she hates negan yet he has done so much for her to the point she had him and Annie protect Hershel! So it doesn't make any sense to me she needs to get over it ! I'd rather dead city be NEGAN AND MY BOY MORGAN. OK IM DONE 🤙
