(MAYBE THEY WOULD SPONSOR YOU ALL! ENTIRE FAMILY NEW BOOTS!) MARIE AND FRIEND HAVE THEM HERS HAVE CHICKENS ON THEM!! (I know someone who would love a pair of those!) ❤

Glad you saved the Billy but he should be kept in a pen well away from the females, thats why he's jumping over, out of sight out of mind as the saying goes. Good luck xx
Maybe tie something on the top wires so he can see the fence. Pink tape or something. It won't shock him unless he has a foot on the ground to complete the circuit. You can get fence signs for electric fences to mark them. Also double that section, two fences 18 inches apart. He can't clear them both.
Yikes, that was a close call! Good thing you and Brandon were there to rescue the goat!

I have a funny story about goats and buckets. I was feeding the he goats and i put the bucket. One of the goats got her head stuck between the bail and the bucket, got scared and took off running blind. I was trying to catch her and she was bouncing off trees and anything else that was in the way. I really had a hard time catching her to get the bucket off her and when I caught her, she faught me and it took a while to rescue her. I learned never to leave a buket where the goats could to the bucket.
The fence jumper is limping on his left leg.
As somebody that built Farm & Ranch fencing for Livestock for approx. 16 years as my Job and owned a Farm & Ranch Fencing Business for 10 of those years and who has done Predation Control for 40+ years I always try to help educate people who are New to raising livestock before they experience such disasters as you did here, so unless you can setup Live Monitoring Cameras that gives you 24/7 monitoring of your goats and you're able to rush to their AID/RESCUE within SECONDS of disaster I would STRONGLY suggest that ya'll get rid of ALL those Big Square Cattle Panels that are NOT for Goats with Horns that they will get their heads stuck in and go get yourselves the 3×3 Square Panels that they can't get their heads through and also deters Coyotes and Dogs, then offset your Electric Fence Wires 6 to 10 inches inside the Perimeter Fence with the bottom wire being low enough to shock them for just getting to close to the fence and the top wire high enough to stop them from trying to Jump up and Climb that Perimeter fence without being ZAPPED… This is how you try to prevent these close calls from happening in the future, but as long as you have those Big Square Cattle Panels as your fence and put your Hotwire as just the Top Wires you're gonna continue having problems and eventually probably even DEATHS… Good luck~!
