  3. I've been enjoying the work you've been doing for a very long time, this is my first comment. I can't help but wonder how a shape-shifting weapon would work, was either specific forms or free style shape-shifting?

  4. 12:30 – Lots of people incorrectly believe the Gladius was a thrusting weapon. I've seen a number of tests before that demonstrates probably not. It's good enough against flesh, but Skallagrim did testing with a variety of swords and the Gladius did the most poorly in the collection he had.

    Accounts of the Romans fighting state the ranks looked like jagged teeth with their movement, because of the way they hacked and slashed around the shields, and limbs by the thousands littered the battlefield. It was primarily a short-ranged chopper that could thrust to effect on bare flesh when the opportunity presented itself.

  17. I think the estoc and the rondel dagger are big contenders for the second best weapon to pierce mail. Lance from horseback would definitely win but I guess you don't have the opportunity to test that one.

  18. Hey guys, just wondering if you've ever bought flat riveted rings to make your own mail? If so do you have any recommendations? Pricing seems too be around 10x more compared to just buying premade.
