im taking notes !
I'm surprised St. Olga of Kyiv didn't make this list.
One of my fave moments of revenge was when The Bride told her former ally's daughter that should she (the daughter) decide to go after her(the Bride), she will be waiting.
This is in the middle of The Bride doing this for her own daughter, to have a life w her.
Crush your enemy totally.
You forgot Olga of Kiev. After her husband was killed by Drevalians she first took a bunch of ambassadors and had them buried alive. Then she gathered a diplomatic party of Drevalians invited them into the bathhouse locked hem in and set it on fire. She then persuaded the Drevalians into a meeting at her husband's tomb where she got them all drunk most of them. Five thousand to be exact. The survivors went to city where her husband was slain and put it under siege. When that failed, she got them to give her birds as a peace offering. She put fiery twigs on the birds and released them back into the city setting it on fire. Anyone who managed to get out was then killed by her soldiers.
Why wasn’t any slave rebellions on here ? There were multiple slave rebellions where slaves killed their enslavers ?
Please work on pronunciation when doing pieces on history! The names of the concentration camps are widely available- it’s not Daw How.
One thing most people do not know about the Pearl Harbor attack is that it almost succeeded. There was supposed to have been 3 carriers at Pearl Harbor on the night of the attack but were delayed due to weather. If Japan had waited a couple of days to do the attack the United States would not have been able to do anything.
…really shouldn't lie like that about hiroshima and nagasaki. fat man and little boy were dropped to SAVE lives…japanese as well as american.
Caesar didn’t crucify the pirates he had there throats slit
You need to get your History correct in the dropping of the atomic bombs,Japan would have never surrendered without taking more American lives. Have you never heard of the kamikaze attacks or of the fighting in Okinawa???
The chili powder was a nice touch.
its absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for the Americans to be held for war crimes at Dachau. that was beyond necessary and needed to happen everywhere.
The Japanese were preparing to use sharpened bamboo sticks to fight off an invasion force. Do a little homework please.
Having dated a girl that grew up in Nagasaki, the bombs feel like the most american thing ever "You kill our soldiers, we kill your children"
there was also the Soviets in Berlin.
I am so glad that you included the US vs Japan as your number one. The US sure knows how to take the piss, Japan was horrific at the time, but the US can always one up disgusting behaviour
Not including Olga of Kyiv is a gross oversight.
The US dropped paper bombs in Japanese first to tell people to flee and urge their government to surrender. The first atomic bomb was dropped & the US again urged Japan to surrender. When they again refused the second bomb was dropped. The US did everything possible to not drop both bombs.
Putting the atomic bombings on here is entirely disingenuous. "Fast forward 4 years". No don't FF that was 4 years of bitter war between the 2 nations. The A-Bombs were dropped to prevent the full scale invasion of Japan. If you're looking for revenge for pearl harbor, you want the Tokyo firebombing or the Doolittle raid
Long story short the US is the biggest get back gang 😂
But the Operation Wrath of God and avenging the Munich Massacre sadly wasn't that successful, as most of the perpetrators and organisers were still alive, hiding in Palestinian camps and coddled by Lebanese and other Arab nations.
"Revenge is the act of passion, vengeance is an act of justice." – Samuel Johnson
It’s pronounced as Dak-ow you simple twats.
"Sold all her belongings and purchased a tank."
HARD as METAL
4:53
all I got to say about this one is GODDAMN git yo get back girl!
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Come to Jesus Christ today
Jesus Christ is only way to heaven
Repent and follow him today seek his heart Jesus Christ can fill the emptiness he can fill the void
Seek his Holy Spirit for guidance peace and purpose today
Heaven and hell is real cone to the loving savior today
Today is the day of salvation tomorrow might be to late come to the loving savior today
John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Jesus
The nukes weren't an act of revenge. We were at war. How dumb is this channel?
As far as im concerned, they could have castrated, disemboweled, and set on fire every member of the SS. Anyone who felt it was a war crime could join them
The moral of the story kids, is don't bring torpedos to a nuclear bomb fight. It's all good though, we rebuilt their economy and now they're a global manufacturing superpower.
Lesson from some of these: do not ever underestimate women
Afganistan and Irak
10:44)Saying that the US was neutral is a big lie. Like Wilson & WW I, FDR planned to get us actively Involved. US Navy and Coast Guard ships escorted convoys to England. Look up USS Grier(DD 145), USS Kearney (DD 432) and the USS Reuben James(DD 245). US Army units were sent to Iceland and Occupied Ireland to relieve limey units.
Some comments about revenge: never piss off women!
Plus, about these Dachau's SS guards, (and most of them where lynched by the prisoners)they surely fell in the "Too Dumb To Live" category, the allies were advancing, and they didn't made ANY attempt to flee before it was too late?
In an old Robin Williams' movie, "Jacob the Liar" the SS made the same mistake, for rounding all the jews they avoided the safer route, obeyed the orders…and were caught by the russians, with their SS uniforms!😅
I don't know how you do a list of great acts of revenge in history without mentioning what happened to the Kwarezmian Empire. Genghis Khan sent a trade delegation to the Kwarezmian Empire, and the Kwarezmians robbed and killed the delegates. Then he gave them one chance to apologize for this atrocity, and they responded by sending his envoy's head back in a bag.
I don't know what geniuses ran the Kwarezmian Empire, but they paid for their foolishness with their entire empire. Genghis Khan utterly annihilated the entire Kwarezmian Empire and killed all its leaders in retaliation for this insult.
Japan waged across the entire Asian and Pacific Rim committing genocide almost everywhere they went and dragging the United States into a war. After 4 years plus of horrific combat that saw the deaths of tens of thousands of United States Marines Navy and army personnel Japan was asked to surrender after Okinawa fell. They refused United States dropped atomic bombs on their industrialized cities in order to stop the unnecessary Bloodshed of the American Military invading that Island which by then was going to be defended by women and children. To say this is an act of Revenge is ridiculous. If you intend to make colossal mistakes in history be sure and realize you will be corrected
