If you’re looking for a solid rogue-like that’ll challenge you in and offer satisfying rewards along the way, Ed-0 Zombie Uprising is not for you. While the game features the basic elements of a rogue-like, it lacks any sense of strategy or balanced difficulty implementation.
Like the worlds of a rogue-like, literally everything in Ed-0 feels completely random making your success or failures often dependent on the in-game chaos. Combat is bland as you’ll find yourself hacking and slashing furiously only to minimal damage. And while the game favors the life bar of your enemies, it doesn’t treat you the same as you can only be slapped by a zombie a few times before becoming a ghost.
Visually, the Ed-0 is uninspired and dull to look at with model designs fit for platforms two generations old. From one rogue-like fan to another, it’s impossible to recommend Ed-0: Zombie Uprising.

I hate gaming bolt every time you review a musou or roguelike or japanese based game you do this. This guy talking about the game when in the first clipb of the boss fight he used a ground finisher on a standing ememy. If it's not the next AAA title y'all get someone not even a fan of the genre to suck at and review. Ign does the same.

Glad I waited to see a review on this. So its main issue is the balance. Shame I wanted to play this but it sounds like it will be more frustrating then fun.

I was going to buy this for sure on PS5 or Xbox, but when I saw the trial, I jumped.
After 30 mins, I knew 100% that this isn’t for me. It’s clunky as hella d enemies are damage sponges.
I also absolutely loathe “rogue elements”, but am willingly to put up with them for the right game.
This? No thanks.

DARK CLOUD X DARK SOULS
GAME IS A 8/10
Clearly the reviewer is not familiar with dark cloud . This is one of my favorite games ever . If your a fan of dark cloud you will love this game. It doesn't have the story or town building but everything else is there . This is a rare kinda game we don't get often . I really really think Lancarse studios X Level 5 could team up and produce a really solid dark cloud 3 🙏
It doesn't even look like they've played game past the first two areas.
