  13. Ive faced a few people with ur build as a Light armor Full Int Fire/Rapier myself. It's one of my tougher fights but doable. Burn out, Fleche, Evade, and dodging help me get out of the frost stuff and stay at the distance I wanna be at. Close enough to close the gap whenever I want, but far enough to maybe dodge out of a frost CC, and be able to land easy Fireballs and heavy attacks. If I see the cooldowns are coming, I can Fleche into a back stab to create awkward angles and force the frost wall or the big AoE to be used recklessly to stop my advance. Once blown, fully upgraded (more distance) Burn out around their Ice wall, damaging and staggering along the way and now Im at melee range, giving me a few options. If they feel the pressure and Ice Block I heavy staff attack, giving me mana and cooldown reduction, usually staying at close range and follow the Ice block with a fat Incinerate the very frame it ends, if I time it right. It hits twice fully upgraded and heals and applies burning stacks. The damage trade between Incinerate with the Ice block cancel explosion is a trade I win by a lot. They dodge first chance they get, I follow with a Fireball where they land, switch to Rapier, Fleche into Backstab (last upgrade of Fleche.) They're probably dodging their last dodge about now or just running and shooting, I Evade forward, proc +15% damage from forward evade and simultaneously proc +25% from Momentum and land 1or 2 light attacks. Finish with Fire staff as needed. Granted, in this match up, usually it's a fight to see who can land more magic shots, but the Rapier is so versatile and I love it against melee especially with Riposte, which is easy af to land. Full Grace tree, plus Burn out, I can always be at the distance that I want from my enemy. People are so surprised when you go from lighting them up at range to overwhelming fast damage up close. Momentum – the last talent from the grace tree is the game changer that allows real pressure from the Rapier just as much as the staff, as well as an Intellect gem socket at end game, (it makes it so part of your rapier damage is converted to Intelligence damage.) Both my weapons are maxed out tough, so maybe keep this build on the back burner. The plays are so sexy, especially with the Riposte into Fleche-backstab. I feel like Gandalf from Lord of the Rings and Marth from Smash Bros in 1 character. I'd love to see some Fire/Rapier gameplay from you! Cheers!
