  1. Disney needs some course correction in a variety of their business ventures and apparently nothing will happen until Iger is gone. Sadly I think it's going to get worse before it gets better.

  2. I think that Disney needs to crack down on the reselling of ticketed events. They should require a specific name when purchased so people can’t resell tickets. Matching ID should be required for entry. Just like any other ticket they sell.

  3. Long live Michael Eisner! The Disney Decade!! Iger has created all this nonsense we have to date. The box office is shameful. We are in true Dark Times. Josh D wishes he was CEO material 🙄. We are in an era where fans are speaking with their wallets

  4. Tom… Training has started for Wine and Dine Weekend. You don't get Figment if you don't finish both races so you better get on it!!
On the subject of the medals, wherever they're getting them from does not have good quality. They need to go back to enamel medals and stop with the printing as it scratches or peels off and then are ruined.

  5. Disney's wokeness and indoctrination of our children has pushed so many folks away. It keeps doing the same thing and more but expects a different result. Disney even has a cartoon (aimed at children, of course) about a girl who is the child of satan. Disgusting. To me Iger is not going to save the Disney fiascos as he and the others do not listen and pay attention.

  6. Imagine you get out of a POTC boat and you're walking in water, in a pool you've never stood in before. You have no idea what bumps and tripping hazards are in the water. Now imagine you're carrying a baby and that if you fall, there's a very real possibility you could trip and knock the baby's head on the boat, shore, or on one of the rails under the water. It's a good thing the water isn't filled with a viscous chemical like bromine, eh? ( …oh wait. )

  7. I think they planned the ceo end date midway through the next presidential term intentionally so as to reassess then. Until then it’s not stable enough for them politically considering the desantis issue, to leave.

  8. I can’t believe you’re still blaming Chapek, really-Disney was already in huge trouble when he took over-can you say scapegoat. I love listening to your podcast and YouTube channel but please wake up and smell the coffee. This destruction of Disney products and parks has been taking place for several years under Iger, (I can remember when the customer mattered)-the nickel and diming, started years ago, with cuts in service Across-the-board, (paid parking at resorts) was the start and it’s just continued with the destruction of customer service. They have messed around and found out-empty parks, 9 hundred million in box office loses in one year, under Iger he has alienated 70% of Disney movie audience and a huge number of park fans-Disney WAS a way to escape life’s troubles and just have fun either in a theater or in a park. This is no more…

  9. We need an outside CEO. Disney needs to quit promoting these losers that are already there and a big part of the problem. We need someone new who can move the company to a place of classic creating again and setting the standard in hospitality and entertainment.

  10. I completely understand how ridiculous it is for people to be getting out of rides like this (it’s rude, it’s dangerous, it makes everything more difficult for the cast members, and you will most likely be banned from the parks) but it’s also not that surprising to me considering just how expensive everything is in our current economy and within the parks. The parks have maximized how much profit they want to squeeze out of every guest, and the loss of precious time, 20, 30, 40, 60 minutes… it all adds up to lost time and money for the guests. People are desperate. I haven’t been to the parks in a minute, but I really hope guests who are stuck on rides for an hour are actually being compensated in some way, maybe even more than just a free lightning lane ticket. My two cents!

  11. Holy Crap! You sound like a shill! The problems with the company are Igers doing! Did it take a global situation to realize that? Yes.
But it's obvious now that this bleep show is his fault!

  12. Sorry for anyone offended, but to any parent stuck on a ride with a child under 2, very likely after an hour of screaming, you would also find whatever way possible to remove yourself from that ride. Maybe some parents are lucky to have a super chill baby that would sit calmly, but even calm babies could freak out in that situation. This is was a unique circumstance and WDW News should not be judging a parent taking care of their child. The lights were obviously turned on inside the building, so hazards in the water were likely visible.

  13. I'm so sad about the Disneyland Paris passes, I was thinking about getting them before they shut it down, but I'm for sure NOT getting the new pass now they've made it so expensive. And Yes, the park in Paris is more profitable now, but it's still jokingly called "scaffolding land" in The Netherlands with how dilapidated everything is and how much things need to be repaired. It really feels like it's not worth the price for what you get for the pass.

  14. WDW News, Tom, everyone seems to forget that all the things Iger had done ( Fox, Lucas, Disney+ scrambling for content), then not really leaving Disney. Then add Covid 19 to the list. Chapek's problem was a block of wood would have more vitality. When it comes to the parks where's Josh D. he's supposed to be in charge or is he happy with low park attendance. Cheers, Chris Perry.

  15. When a person is on an airplane and there are problems with take off, no one is allowed to get off that plane … Why is when attractions might have a problem, you are at "Attention please" keep your hands and arms inside the attraction at all time. Makes me so mad that people have no common sense.

  16. The company is weathering a storm-" Destroying the parks experience, ruined Starwars, ruined Pixar, Destroyed their movie division, destroyed their stock value. I am sure there is more. It's all self inflicted.

  17. Disney saying they are not grooming kids is preposterous, yet at least half of American thinks this. Once again the brass at Disney are not in touch with what Americans think then wonder why people aren’t going to the movies or parks.

  18. A question Tom Corless, Disney seems to be pushing IP in most of their properties to the detriment of the experience IMHO. The tree house re-vamp seems to go in the opposite direction, why? Or is this the beginning of new IP that will head to a movie/show eventually? Inquiring minds want to know!

  19. Your advice is correct: don't leave the ride. However, it's unnaceptable that Disney takes 1 hour (!!!) to evacuate people. It's just wrong and makes you take desperate measures. Even more if you have a baby (!!!) with you. I hope Disney gave some big compensation to these people!

Also, it has NEVER been smart to take babies to Disney. Or vacations in general. Disney and vacations are for bigger kids. Not small ones. The risk to bring discomfort to them and to you is higher the smaller they are.

  20. The Worst Dad ever is the type of Karen male who when he electrocutes himself and kills his son, he will later ask Disney for money with a lawsuit. Some people need to be strapped in their seats.

  21. The increase in prices in DLParis is so absurd that it can only be understood as "dear fans of the park, we are not interested in your passion, we just want your money" I don't know if the new prices already include the parades of angry employees. It is my main park near Spain and I visited it very often with my annual passes but now the time has come to look elsewhere, Europapark for the moment is a great offer that has little to envy Disney and its prices for now are not an armed robbery.

  22. It was great while it lasted but that me done for Disneyland Annual passes! I along with two other families from the Uk go 5 times a year but we all decided we are not putting up with this. I’m sure Disney won’t care they have lost 14 Annual pass holders a year plus all we spend in the parks while we are there.

  23. Not sexualizing children! Don’t recall having to be told the sexual orientation of: Pinocchio, Seven Dwarfs; the evil step sisters and on and on. Why does every new movie have to inform us about the sexual orientation of a character? Just entertain us and stop with the sly political statements.

  24. Dear Mr Iger. If Disney is not trying to groom kids, please explain the dude with the beard and full makeup in a princess dress in a position to interact with kids at the Bippity Boppity Boutique and explain why we need to know characters sexual orientation in your last few movies made for kids.
