Check the airship workshop for shelves that let you stack the large crates. If you don't have them then you have to find the data cards.

New core balloons can only be added side by side but you can make each balloon pretty long with expansions.

I think there might be something oxygen related you missed in the first elevator tower, idk if they are in other towers. It’s not in the tunnels. Hidden around a corner in a small room with a perished person.

Place balloon cores in a V pattern and yo can make it quite long
U can expand sideways for the time being to allow u to pick up the orginal ballon and move it where u want and then deconstruct the new one after
Z1 you can only add a core side by side only the air balloon has to be 5 wide to add an extra core, and you can't delete the original core, by extending each core you can add up to six extensions to each balloon, and if you don't repair your ship you will lose lift capacity and the more damage you have the likelihood your ship will break, also you can cook rotten food you get 10 food and 5 water however better than nothing at all. loving the content awesome as always

Side-by-side balloons work if you want a wider airship. If you want a longer one, you just need to expand your balloon.

You can expand the balloon forward OR back. Cores are added to the side (need at least two rooms between the rooms the cores are connected to).

Z please go look for the airship workshop. It allows you to build shelves for chests, place wall lights and so many more things for your ship. If you are going to do an airship expansion episode it is a must have.
Helium fuel is the fuel of the future. 1 helium and synthetics to craft.
If you want light in your airship, build a metal floor on the ceiling. As for batteries, you don't need to worry about it, the game is called forever skies, every platform is randomly generated and the world goes on forever. You can collect all the batteries you can find, until in the future when we can manufacture our own.

batteries re spawn over time. i have expanded the balloon twice so far. just keep adding, you don't have to remove anything from the baloon. 900lb carry weight, tons of storage boxes, and i think that auto exstracter is the only thing i don't have.
You want the balloon expansion which will make the balloon much longer.
I also took way to long trying to find a way to remove the original core before looking up that you can't, so it took forever to rebuild my airship. 2 cores each upgraded twice, 5 wide shaped like a sideways H for extra wall space and lots of catwalk space without having to spread out wider. Upgraded engines do help a lot, you can load twice as much fuel into them and they make it so much faster running around collecting batteries to feed the auto-extractor. I wanted a bunch of window walls, with the auto-extractor you just find a greenhouse tower and fly around it while the thing grabs all the glass.
I've watched Jawoodle steuggle eith this aswell, same advice i gave him, READ things.
Helium is required to expand your Airship, I don'r recommend it's use for fuel.
have you put a Solid State Battery into your research station to research it?
Balloon Cores can only be placed side by side. but you can add several extensions and make your ship longer.
balloons have a 3 room spacing requirement between them
PARALLEL – (lines, planes, surfaces, or OBJECTS) SIDE BY SIDE and having the same distance continuously between them.
BALLOON CORE – The base for the balloon. Each Airship has at least one, but it is possible to add more PARALLEL balloons to increase lift capacity
Any questions? Now it is possible to place the new core to the side, but as far back as possible, then expand it back as much as possible then build another new core behind the original by branching off the second core. I don't know how many expansions and number of rooms required, and if the first core can have any expansions or only the second core, but it should be feasible. The balloon will be very asymmetrical, but that is if you stick with just two parallel lines. If you go three cores wide with the center core having one behind in a diamond shape, you will have a pretty cool looking symmetrical build, as well as one MASSIVE ship. You can also see if building a new balloon core on a higher floor means that you can use the curvature of the balloon to build closer. Maybe the two side balloons could have their rooms beside the primary core balloon and then when their cores are placed they will extend over the original core balloon one half a balloon width. This will narrow the structure a couple of rooms. It would also allow the engines and turbines to be placed higher up on the sides while still allowing the main center canopy to be lower and narrower. Oh, I wanted to mention there is a glass floor. I am not sure if you found it yet, but it works really well to make a nice open cockpit you can see through, along with the viewing corners. I look forward to your next video, sounds like it will be a lot of building fun!
if u want a longer ship u need to extend the balloon if u want a extra balloon u need to expand outwards instead of longways
is there not a ramp/stairs for the catwalks, so you can have an exterior entrance to the cockpit without needing ladder rooms?
