The Lands Between can be an intimidating place for new players, offering much to do, but little in the way of guidance. Here are ten things you should do in Elden Ringβs early game to experience the best of what it has to offer. #EldenRing
The world of Elden Ring is absolutely massive, so thereβs a good chance thereβs something you might have missed, even if itβs small. But the small things add up, and are a part of the experience, so weβve put together 10 important things to do in Limgrave, the gameβs first huge open area.
In the above video, we walk you through how to beat Margit the Fell Omen using a handy item, how to activate Boc the Seamsterβs questline to alter your outfits, and how to find an early game +8 weapon. We also discuss where to track down other NPCs like Roderika and Blaidd, how to progress their questlines, as well as how to avoid getting caught by those nasty transporter traps.
Elden Ring launched on February 25th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. In our Elden Ring review in progress, Tamoor Hussain gave From Softwareβs latest title a rare GameSpot 10/10, calling it βa masterpiece of open-world design that places exploration and player agency at the heart of the experience.β Make sure to check out the full Elden Ring review in progress on gamespot.com, or watch the video on youtube.com/gamespot. Keep your eyes peeled for Elden Ring guides and walkthroughs coming your way soon, from which Elden Ring class to pick, to Golden Seed locations, and the best starting route to take in the game.

Interesting fact: it is hard to promote my YouTube channel so I should write such comment to promote it.
0:58 You can only use it twice each time you face Margit.
This game looks amazing and also hilarious people are saying this game needs an easy mode like assassins creed
A lot of people miss margits shackles, heck a lot of people miss Patches completely! But once the souls alumni finally find him its a real hoot!
Thankfully I found all the 10 things in this video and didn't get any spoilers
the best part of this game is beefing yourself up before moving on honestly
Start uploading in 4k yo
Maybe I'm not American enough to understand, but why adressing Margit and Patches as "them" when they're clearly men? Or is it an english rule to adress fictional characters as "them"?
If you return to the pile of corpses related to Roderika's quest you can get her cloak, not sure when exactly but I would guess it's after she stops wearing it
Bell bearing dude caught up with me at 2 different churches. Not sure why, but be safe out here at night.
I think you can only use Margits shackles twice per attempt
I wish Mighty Keef was cooping with IGN again.
This game is amazing it doesn't need any easy mode like some people say but however you can can find some crazy overpowered weapons that can turn the game easy
Please do this in every area
10 Things I still don't want to know until I've finished the game at least twice.
40h in, and I still didn't leave Limgrave yet, barely made it into East Limgrave yesterday.
Who needs all this stuff.
I have 7 heals already and I've only beat one major boss.
Each heal also heals more health then I even have.
Hahaha
The fact that you acknowledge that Blaidd guy as Guts just made me happy π
LOL took me whole day to fight Margit. Half the attempts I didn't even realize I could summon spirits. Beat him without shackles or online help. π
Whereβs that Greatsword @ 3:15?!
I definitely killed Patches sadly
People should explore more lol also you canβt use the shackle multiple times only twice during the fight lol
Just when you think your good at this game it turns around and take a huge dump on your skills
I beat Margit without the shackles but I had a bleeding armament on my sword and he went down pretty quick
Seeing Patches was one of the most delightful surprises in any recent game I've played, especially since he wasn't in Sekiro!
Where is boc after u give him the needle at the cave?
If you return to the pile of corpses related to Roderika's quest you can get her cloak, not sure when exactly but I would guess it's after she stops wearing it
Maybe for the heck of it Gamespot could make a video about the most powerful or iconic weapons such as where is the Greatsword and Moonlight Greatsword. This video helps a decent amount, even after playing a while.
There's another way to the bottom dungeon of storm veil castle as well. And the door that "doesn't up from this side" can be opened via the other route
π₯π₯ Watch my shorts!!
I can't believe how much i missed! I can't wait until next week's video!
Haha, so the wolf knight is proof to me that Hidetaka has played The Lore of Canis for Android as well and checked the game to implement a reference of it into Elden Ring. Nice move, I am honoured. Stay curious!
Good tips! I totally missed Blaidd and the Bell Bearing Hunter!
βBlaiddβ is the Welsh word for wolf, I love that they dig into a bit of Welsh for these games.
why would you wanna run from those βtrapsβ if anything theyβre helpful. they tp u somewhere youβve never been with amazing loot every time
Roderika had already gone to the Round Table and I had made her the blacksmith's apprentice all before I found that pile of bodies in the castle lol. So all I got was her cloak instead of all that other stuff
I feel about 1000I.Q. points dumber for not looking hard enough for these things….
"It does not support widescreen."
These were some great tips. I keep roaming around limgrave until I defeat godric. I keep finding new areas and this is helpful.
Found the tree spirit yesterday in the castle. Still fighting it, I could cheese it but Iβd rather be more honorable
what if patches is just able to traverse the multiverse of the souls world.
Hey guys I just uploaded my first ever video, itβs just a little funny/fail compilation of what I got from a few hours of playing Elden Ring.
