  1. There are different degrees of racism. Some people think this movie is racist. There are some movies with confederate flags which aren't as blunt as this movie. Of course, I worry there will come a day when Black folks tell us we can't watch movies which have confederate flags, no matter how kind the people are in the film.

  2. После того, как американцы начали уничтожать славян руками славян, я обожаю смотреть, как американцы уничтожали друг друга. И уверен, что история повторится. Проклятому государству проклятый конец!

  3. Fighting in open territory in close rows while rifles and artillery got better and better must have been worse than a battle in the middle ages when you maybe at least had a chance to fight and get out alive.
When it comes to the actors I until then only knew Broderick as Ferris Bueller, because I watched War Games many years later. The movie included also some of the best actors I have ever seen in my opinion: Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman. I think I should watch the whole movie again in the future.

  4. The monument to the Mass. 54th on Boston Common has been vandalized a number of times over the years by "woke" idiots who call it "racist". Why do they call it racist? Because white Col. Shaw is shown riding a horse while his black soldiers are walking. Why are the vandals idiots? Because at that time, officers RODE and ALL enlisted men, of any race, WALKED.

  5. The war between north and south was devastating. I’m a Texan. Parents are from Great 🇬🇧 Britain. I would have fought for the South. Not because Slavery, but for state right. 65,000 Texans served in Confederacy. Sad time in America history.

  6. These Napoleonic tactics were just absurd. You would think that someone would realize marching shoulder to shoulder facing grapeshot and rifled muskets was a bad idea. The losses on both sides were horrific.

  7. "Keep marching slowly towards the cannon. That's right. Point your sword."
    Cannon fire.
"Um… shall we consider another strategy sir?"
"No. Slowly marching. That's the ticket."
    Volley of raking gun fire.
"Should we er… pick up the pace a little?"
"No, no. Nice and steady. This'll scare the bejesus out of them."

    "Sir, I, sir arraggh"
