Guys who came here with "Spiderman can't catch a break fr" mindset, relax, this is marvel zombies, here's one of those timeline where Marvel characters being forced into the narrative equivalent of torture porn is acceptable and almost a requirement.

To give a bit more context the nano bots or nanites that are in sandman and used to kill the zombies were made by a Tony Stark from earth-91126 where he was a big alcoholic and Stark Industries or international was facing money problems, but anyway the reason the zombies (zombie Ant Man and the zombie avengers) came to his earth was to steal the watcher's equipment to finish their portal to other dimensions to have a never ending zombie feast but after pepper and happy were infected Tony gave the mantel of iron man to Rhodey before sacrificing himself as the nanobots were originally made to cure cancer but needed to be ingested to work but he figured that they could also eat dead flesh so he drank some and let the zombies eat him. Although I don't remember how this Spiderman got to then in order to combine them with sandman but that's basically the story of how in some way iron man ended up saving the day from the marvel zombies.
something i never understood was how spider-man and the other heroes ate their loved ones because of the insatiable hunger, but kingpin was able to protect his wife? does kingpin have a stronger will than all the heroes?
The fact that Peter gave up being Spider man after consuming some of the heroes from this new world due to his Hunger but STILL tries to do the right thing and was basically the one to find the cure and get rid of the zombie problem. If this doesn't mean Spider Man is the greatest Super hero of all time in marvel Comics then idk what is. Also screw the Marvel writers for always having something against Spider-man.
