best movie last year! <3
anyone who says otherwise probably hates watching movies and likes watching brainless reality tv or something
and if someone really think HP is better then LOTR, his oppinion is invalid ๐
there are dimensions, aeons between both these series and not in favour of HP ^^
Must watch K.G.F CHAPTER 2 another indian movie
This is one of my favourite movies in recent memory. It's such a fun movie but at the same time it has some very deep hitting points and dialogue. It's beautifully shot as well. The scene with Ke and Michelle in the alleyway where he says "In another life, I would have really liked to do laundry and taxes with you" it both gorgeous and heartbreaking.
Rage-cleaning
โIf we spend it looking backwards and regretting our choices, then we donโt realize the goodness we have in the presentโ yes! Iโm glad thatโs your takeaway from the movie <3 I think thatโs definitely in there
They talked about cherishing the specks of time where everything actually makes sense, and I love that
I know you like Michelle Yeoh so I think you should watch โCrouching Tiger Hidden Dragonโ. Oscar Winner.
Not liking eeao and refusing watching last of us is such a red flag
True true fifth element was great too, you should give it another chance.
the movie didn't win the most ever. its tied for 16th most with 11 other movies with 7 wins. three movies have the most wins at 11 (one of which is lord of the rings: return of the king – take that potter! haha)
I'm with Carly. The actors in this movie are great, but the movie is just so incredibly stupid. It's as if it was written by two people. One competent screenwriter that had a vision. The other his 15 year old immature son going "but then" and saying the dumbest thing that came to mind.
Thereโs so many things you can take away from this movie, and I like your take on it as much as my own
0:40 literally the definition of when it rains it pours๐
Hey! Love your reaction vids! La Bamba is a beautiful true story movie you would love! Itโs never reacted to and doesnโt get the love it deserves , itโs a rock n roll 1950s movie! The Johnny cash movie is also a true story, a love story as well!
You're the first person I've heard who saw the Fifth Element references (of course, there are many references, especially to the Matrix and the Kung Fu genre). For me, the movie was about the 'nothing matters' nihilism of Jobu and the kindness philosophy of Waymand, in other words, if nothing maters, then what does matter? Evelyn, with Waymand's help, comes to understand that nothing matters and so that means be kind. When/if nothing matters, then kindness still matters.
Very overrated, got bored
Waymond is Evelyn's Sam โบ
If you want to see Academy Award Winner Michelle Yeoh in more stuff, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" would be an amazing watch! Thanks for taking the time to watch this one!
watch creed 3!!!!!
The message you got? That was accurate. ๐
Hey Cassie, I think you should watch "Jaws 2" this summer. It seems no reaction channel ever does it. Everyone only watches the first one. But the sequel is so good and really worth a watch.
Your friend is dead wrong about this film. This is a challenging film. But completely worth it. You have to understand it operates on multiple levels all at once. In one interpretation this all actually happens, even the crazy stuff. In another, only the bookending scenes are real, and the rest is symbolic. Evelyn (and probably Joy) have a form of ADHD, that we see processed as fantasy, but we also get a glimpse of Evelyn blankly staring into space, which is what the rest of the world sees her doing. BOTH interpretations of the film are accurate. You dont have to choose one (the filmmakers didnt, except they did edit out the bit of dialogue that acknowledges Evelyn has ADHD and left it up to people to guess that).
I think you would really love โTHELMA & LOUISE.โ Perfect film to watch with your sister!
deserved all seven Oscars it won- should have also won costumes!
I still havenโt seen this movie enough times to make a real comment. For now, just a fun fact. James Hong (grandpa) became an actor in 1954 – before any of the other principals were even born.
I just love the mix of genres in this movie, itโs surreal, funny, action packed, and dramatic. Portions of it are, comedy, drama, horror, sci-fi, kung fu, action, all of these different genders mixed together. And the look and style of it is so unique. Itโs a wholly original piece of art. I donโt think you need to break your brain understanding the different universes as long as you just enjoy it for what it is and feel the emotions behind it. Itโs an amazing movie
This is what happens when you let meth-heads write movies!
Yo watch tremors 2
Please react to "kgf" indian movie which is so good than rrr
I tried watching a cam version of this when it first came out and it was such poor quality I thought I hated the movie. Turns out it was actually good. I tend to think that when movies are critically acclaimed, the opinions don't line up with normal peoples opinions. I'm glad I was wrong.
Yes, using the multiverse to make things bizarre was totally intentional to portray what a multiverse would actually be like when you introduce the idea of "infinite possibilities." And the purpose of the multiverse used here was as a metaphor for the chaos in our lives particularly with smart phones/easy internet, and how so many of us have this vast amount of knowledge, social media, and world-wide news at our fingertips all day every day that can cause confusion and chaos in our minds.
Zero Dark Thirty, Zero Dark Thirty, Zero Dark Thirty
I love that James Hong was born and raised in Minneapolis, but has made a career out of being the ubiquitous Chinese guy character. He is a treasure. Michelle Yeah is amazing. And it is so nice to have Ke Huy back into the mix.
Masterpiece
Yes, the movie touches suicidal thoughts amongst a lot of things.
The stairs scene where the whole family saves Joy from suicide almost broke me.
My favourite movie of last year.
I'm sitting in the breakroom at work crying. I hate this dumb movie for making me feel everything.
Joy saw all universes and came to the conclusion that nothing matters, so what's the point of anything?
Evelyn saw all universes and also came to the conclusion that nothing matters, but if nothing matters then why stress? Everything is possible.
It's two different ways to see the same thing, one positive, one negative.
my takeaway from this movie is that the idea of nihilism is attractive on the surface because it seems intelligent and allows us to wrap ourselves in our own pity,
while positivity seems ugly, fake, and untrue. it's seen as a waste of time in comparison.
though i've also heard that if being positive is 'lying to yourself' that things can go well, then negativity has to be a form of the same thing, lying to yourself that things can go wrong
so if you re going to lie to yourself, you might as well make it a good lie!
Yes that is Jamie Lee. The cast is pretty stacked. Michelle Yeoh plays the lead and James Hong is the old man. Hong has been in the business since the 1950's. Yeoh is a Bond girl.
So glad you enjoyed this movie! This first watch is a lot, but the next few times just deepen the joy & depth this movie has! ๐
I understand the story, I understand all the parallels, but this movie is weird bullshit.
worst movie ever
Technically this movie is spearheading a completely new film movement called Metamodernism, look it up its a rabbit hole but technically the next artistic film movement!
The lighting is amazing and your camera is so 4K!
I disliked this movie for the first hour. By the time it ended I was crying and now consider it one of my favorite movies, and one of the best movies I've ever seen. It has the most important message of all, that the most important thing in life is the relationships we build along the way. "Just be kind". Also, my spouse is my Waymond, "someone kind, patient, and forgiving to make up for all that I lack".
The thing I love about your reactions is your sincerity, your emotional honesty, and your goodness of spirit and intent. I think this movie was made for you. ๐
