  1. To point out. Global Airlines appears to be a single dude with a share capital last year of £100…. I hope they succeed. But at the moment they have nothing but contracts, promises and virtual funds.

  2. It will fail like all previous attempts. It’s amazing how investors keep insisting on trying low cost transatlantic. I doubt they’ll fill a London-JFK plane daily with the massive amount of competition in the sector at much higher frequencies.

  3. 1) A380s can be bought at throwaway prices (compared to factory dispatch) bringing the cost of ownership low.

    2) A380 means luxury with upper deck. A airline can seek 5-10% premium over other airlines on same routes compared to narrow body ones and still retain passengers.

    3) You save on pilots, cabin crew, airport fees, parking slots, maitenance breaks for same number of passengers. Simply because you will be carrying double the quantity of passengers than a narrowbody one.

    4) A380 operator always aware than the aircraft is meant to busy routes and busy airports. It was never meant for low and average ones.

    5) If required, the airline can use transatlantic route with more straight route (meaning less distance) because of non applicability of ETOPS being quad engine.

    6) Impeccable safety record. No major incident in the entire lifetime gives a lot of confidence to travellers.

    7) If operated with their limitations in mind A380 is as profitable as any other aircrafts.
