  1. I don't know if the Ancient Hero is a hybrid since Zelda herself has Zonai blood and looks like a normal Hylian but its possible. For one thing, he is a Zonai and has to be Link if what we see he is wielding in the tapestry is the Master Sword. Personally, I like to think Rauru might not be the only Zonai to wed with a Hylian. If anything, the Ancient Hero should be a great ancestor to Link's family is this is true.

  2. it would make sense if the hero isn't a child or dependent of Sonia, maybe rauru married a gerudo woman after you know what happened to Sonia (don't want to spoil)

  3. so, being able to have link cosplay by wearing a useless outfit, is an "actual reward", but the most heartwarming story and best thing since magda's story is not "worth it"?

I take it you're usamerican. you must be. there is no other shithole country where pretending to be something is more important than actual deeds.

  4. I think the old hero was born from a relationship between a Gerudo and a Zonai, because he has the red hair of a Gerudo and the tail of a boar (for me it's a tail of a boar that he has ). Afterwards the rest has a Zonai appearance, but I don't think he would be the Hero of 10,000 years ago, that would be illogical to me. I think he would look more like a cursed child, a true fallen hero because of his Gerudo background. Here is my opinion

  5. I think it's something as simple as a hybrid between Hylian and Zonai. We already know Sonia and Rauru are one of the first mixed race couples, which means there were most likely others.

  6. some people are theorizing that link is the champion respective to mineru, with spirit powers, so the ancient hero can be mineru related (link incarnation) that sealed his spirit into the armor, being link related with mineru too.

  7. Lot of comments, so not sure it was mentioned, but the Zonai have Plantigrade feet, the Aspect of the Hero has digitagrade (his shoes even have a heel on them, probably for landing from high places)- meaning Zonai have feet more similar to Hylians, not the Hero.

  8. The animals on his belt are an owl, a dragon, and a boar which are the idols the zonai carve into this ruins and most likely represent the triforce. Owl for wisdom, dragon for courage, and bear for power.

  9. It looks to me like a Gerudo/Zonai Hybrid.
He looks to have the red hair and greener skin of some Gerudo (most notably Ganondorf, Koume, and Kotake in this game), as well as Zonai armor and more Zonai-like physical features.
It also only says in Demise's curse that he'll forever haunt one that has the "Hero's Spirit." That means Link's soul doesn't always necessarily have to be reincarnated into a Hylian. Just another being that will eventually stand up to evil.

  10. Dude, I'm almost tired of all the explanation thing of this aspect. what if it only was some weird kind of crossover with Ratchet&Clank's lombaxes ? x))

  11. I really doubt the hero is a zonai, much less a descendant of Sonia and Rauru.
    1. It's stated that Zelda (from BoTW and ToTK) is a descendant of Sonia and Rauru and by extension the whole royal family which includes the Zelda from the Hero´s time which was when the first Calamity Ganon struck Hyrule, that means if the Hero were also a descendant of the royal family that would make him that era Zelda's brother which is highly unlikely, when Impa first tells the story of the first Calamity to Link she says it was stopped by a warrior "wielding the soul of a hero" and a princess who "carries the blood of the goddesses" making the distinction that Zelda bloodline is unique and that the hero is not from the same bloodline. Also the Zelda of his time is heavily implied to be Hylian and not whatever race the hero is.

    2. The hero looks nothing like a Zonai at all, the ears don't match, the Zonai have a third eye while the hero lacks one. The Hero has a tail while the Zonai don't, the shape of the feet are drastically different: the Hero has animal like paws while the zonai possess human like ones. Those changes could be explained as him being a Zonai/Hylian hybrid but again: by his time there was already a Zelda who was the actual descendant of the royal family and was a Hylian, not a hybrid race. Also it was stated that Rauru and Mineru were the last Zonai, so by his time none were around so a hybrid Zonai/Hyrulean would be impossible.

My take is that he's from a brand new race that was to be yet formally introduced.

  12. I think he really is a mix of races:
    •Color skin of the Zonai
    •Ears of the Sheikah/Hylians
•Slender body like the Zora (patterns on his side even match)
•Simplified blue eyes like the Goron
    •Red hair as the Gerudo
•His legs are kinda build like the Rito
•And then there's the tail representing a Lynel and his feet are similar to Wolfos

His armor represents the boar, owl and dragon (golden goddesses).

  13. I worked SO hard to get this gear and my biggest surprise, outside how strong it initially starts out at, is the bonus you get.

I beat Ganondork's arse wearing this gear BECAUSE it gives you a master sword boost! Now. Why does it give you this boost of all things!? I'd like to think the ancient hero also wielded the master sword during the first calamity.

  14. "Mask". Naw, dude, that is 100% a Stone Loincloth 😂 (The Zonai just had a weird habit of making almost everything they built look like some kind of face)

Also I love how the ancient hero wore high heels. Maybe he actually was Link's height, and felt insecure in comparison to his tall Zonai parent? Or maybe they're just a fierce fashion-statement; they definitely force his feet into a more animalistic shape.

  15. I think the ancient hero is pure zonai

We can't base our theories on the zonai people soleley on the appearences of Rauru and Mineru

They're siblings, of course they're gonna look alike, but that doesn't mean their entire species looks like them. The same way two white siblings from america aren't gonna look like some dude from china

I believe the ancient hero was pure zonai, just unrelated to (or a distant cousin to) Rauru and Mineru. And to explain the time gap between the imprisoning war and the calamity 10,000 years ago, i also believe that not all the Zonai decended when Rauru and Mineru did, only a few of them, while the rest of their kind continued to thrive in the upper atmosphere. Until a brave Zonai decided to descend from the heavens to help the world below

Oh and to explain the forehead gem, maybe only the very powerful Zonai had a third eye, while the rest of them wore a gem there for tradition or religion or something. I doubt it jas to do with gannon since Zelda is also seen wearing a forehead accessory

And i do think the Zonai are still up there, maybe even as far up as space

  16. Ancient Hero fought Calamity Ganon and Calamity Ganon was the Sealed Ganon. which makes no sense even at 10000 years, if there is no kingdom since Rauru. Ancient hero being a guard of what? the castle wasn't put in till Ganon was sealed, thats literally on a stone at the castle. if Zelda traversed time she erase all that. I think Zelda is the keeper of the Timeline and she is making sure that Rauru and Sonia and their sacrifice for hyrule lives on in the tapestry. the Ancient hero is the artist interpretation to Rauru at this point. his artist look is a Lion, Wizard of oz rules, lion is courage. the tapestry used minimal colors, which is why its oddly colored. the model is using reused assets. tbh its fan service. i think its guardian motorcycle.

  17. Boar = Power = Red = Fire/Earth = Ganon = Din: “Cultivated the land and created the red earth”

Owl = Wisdom = Blue = Water/Ice = Zelda = Nayru: “Poured her wisdom onto the earth and gave the spirit of law to the world”

Dragon = Courage = Green = Wind/Lightning = Link = Farore: “With her rich soul, produced all life forms who would uphold the law”

  18. Rauru and Sonia’s child could’ve married the Garudo sage. Every 100 years a male is born. The fight between ganondorf was long. The three tribes resembling the triforce are Zonai-wisdom Hylian-courage and garudo-power. Sonia and Rauru’s child having a child with a garudo would mix all three bloodlines. With the armor what’s strange isn’t that they see Link as the Ancient hero. But that everyone still see him as Link.

  19. I have a theory, what if the hero’s form is actually a transformation caused by all three triforce pieces coming together? Honestly, it would help piece a lot of this together. It’s not unlikely that the zelda of the time still was some sort of full hybrid between the zonai and the hylians, meaning this hero could be an amalgamation of ganon, zelda, and link’s designs caused by tapping into the power of the triforce. This would also keep the consistency of the hero’s spirit (link) always being a hyrulian as well. And this is all without even MENTIONING the symbolism with the masks this hero dons

  20. I think Nintendo wanted to imply that this is the hero of the 10,000 year period, but I just find the whole thing hard to accept. The design alone is so contradictory to the period being referenced, and it's a bit maddening not being able to pinpoint how a past hero could look like this

  21. I think the set is cool but it’s bonus is awful. 152 shrines, 9 silver bokoblins horns, 9 hinox guts, 9 moblin horns, 9 frox guts a couple hundred rupees for SWORD BEAM UP?? Cmon it should be attack up, weather proof in all conditions, battery up and maybe speed up. It should’ve been so much better
