The chat during this video absolutely astounded me. I cant believe how many people there were that never played a dark souls game and instantly thought this game was bad for some reason. I seriously saw someone say "elden ring cant be game of the year because game of the year needs to check every box, elden ring has no story." Comments like this absolutely blow my mind. I am currently 22 hours deep and I genuinely think it might be the best game i have ever touched, and I am usually a really overly critical hateful Andy.

its pretty and expansive but at its core, its just more dark souls. they've been making the same game for a decade. difficulty isn't an attribute of praise.. ill never understand.

compared to most Open World games the map is full of stuff, dude went to the edge of a cliff and was baffled that there's nothing there?

crazy how elden ring has the most mechanically intense and advanced bosses, but due to the new mechanics and op magic, people may not realize it. SL1 runs will be BY FAR the hardest to do here

I never played a dark souls game before. This is actually my first time playing a fromsoft game.. and I haven't played a game this fun in YEARS. Being a new player, this game imo is the best fucking game to date. If you're new like me to, and hesitant of buying it. Don't be a pussy, buy this shit!!! 10/10 masterpiece. It isn't perfect. There is flaws, but it will give you the biggest gamer boner you've ever had once you learn how it works.

I think dark souls 2 was my favorite souls game. Majula was probably a big reason for that. Of all of the souls games i think Dark Souls 2 had a way of making you seem alone in a vast world similarly to minecraft….as odd of a comparison as that is. the soundtrack was grand.
