First tip learn is how to pronounce the game name properly. It’s RING not RIN
Rin is a character in FFX
So you can only sunmon when the gate icon appeared?
If she doesnt spawn for you what I did is fast travel to any grace and fast travel back to the church at night and she spawn for me
She gave me the wolves but i never got the spirit calling bell
I have never managed to summon them so far…

If you missed the girl and went to far you can also just fast travel back to the round table on ur map, it’s at the bottom left.
Would've been nice if you'd cover why sometimes they aren't summonable….

So to answer everyone’s questions that Dingus here didn’t:
You acquire the summon separate to the actual item required to summon, if I’m understanding this correctly. This is my first souls game I’m actually going to play through, so forgive me if I’m not quite translating this perfectly. But after you get the summoning “spells” or whatever, you need a summoning bell, which is the item that performs the action of summoning. You get one from a woman back at the church of eleh (or however it is spelled).
Rules are that it is one summon per life or bonfire visit, and one at a time (but I think o saw something about maybe being able to summon more at once later in the game, but i could very well be wrong on that)
I press triangle on playstation to use my summons but they’re greyed out and my character reaches around his back and tries grabbing something clearly not there…. So what do I need to call summons? It’s not working and VERY frustrating.
