Cartels are not the problem, the real problem is why americans needs to consume that fentanyl crap? In Mexico you can get fentanyl but nobody consumes it… Now you see that the problem is on the comsumtion and not on demand.

The U.S wants resources extraction ever since the nationalization of Mexican resources, fentanyl is a big problem I don’t deny that but the U.S real intentions is to regain access to Mexican resources which are the people of mexicos and not American capitalist companies (I’m a capitalist as well but I don’t agree with resource extraction and exploitation)
They don't need to attack. The army needs to be shutting the boarder down and not letting anyone in.
Could just send black ops or PMC's to attack the Chinese shipments, the US can then deny involvement and disavow the actions. Sometimes I wonder why the US refuses to grow the balls to do what is right, Democrats could also be in bed with the cartels sonce they refuse to do anything about the problem on the border.

I think the US should declare Mexico a failed narc state and take it over. The US has already taken Mexico once before this time they should keep it as a territory while dealing with the cartels.

As a Mexican. I have another suggestion, why don't we help you instead? Why don't we send out our very veteran military to arrest all the Drug dealers in the United States. I mean you don't seem to mind Military Incursions on sovereign territories. Imagine for one second, just one second this happens and one Mexican Soldier fires on an American Civilian by Mistake. What would the reaction be? Ok now turn the tables around. If you don't like that scenario why do you think we would like it. America has a drug addiction problem, if it is not Mexico the one who supplies the drug your population consumes, it will be somebody else who provides it. Stop blaming Mexico and get your shit together. We have enough with our own stupid politicians ideas on how to handle Cartel problems, to also have to put up with yours.
What about stopping the weapons and ammunition flow from the US into Mexico first to weaken the cartels firepower. Wile tending to the American people that are the consumers of this illegal drugs. I mean it is only fear, the US is the fuel for all this cartels that the US government fear so much.

So the United States and the Mexican government trade with each other perfectly fine for over 70+ billion dollars worth of resources, and yet the Mexican government is somehow scared that the United States might cause them more harm than good through an invasion that would wipe out the criminals? Makes you wonder if they're doing this on purpose because of corruption and to fill their own pockets. Seriously, if any of you have seen the brutality of the cartels in videos, you'd agree with me.
