the worst super drop ever…
Poopy secret lair drop. Thank God!
Yea i gotta say i was very disappointed with the LOTR one, there was a decent amount of hype behind it, only for them to choose some of the weakest cards from the set :/
they put Tiny Bones in here…. So… many… jumpstart packs… opened…. T_T
The whole drop is crappy af. Not that much playable cards and nothing's worth the price. Better buy the needed cards on the secondary market.
Lets wait for the next one.
I’m skipping this one also, these should have doble the value of the secondary market at least for the non foil versions. Wizards should not be selling at the prices of the secondary market!

“Death is Temporary Metal is Forever” is like a mini Nekusar starter pack. Gonna get these foiled!!!!

Imo, the latter, “Bad to the Bones,” and the Goblins are your best value. Especially since you get some excellent cards both for additions for decks OR starter EDH decks!!

The tiny bones one has amazing art and like the top 3 best cards for the deck, but its bitter sweet, cause theres no kind of “Prize card” and throwing in reassembling skeleton doesn’t help, could of gotten some other mono-black commander staple, that being said I’m a sucker and will probably pick it up 😂😭
I like the art for the worlds spine wurm drop, but hate that they have a token as the 5th. It makes sense, it’s better than 4 card and no token, but it just feels really bad to get basically a $0 value card.

Sad thing is, the lotr one will probably end up being the most valuable one in the long-term. It seems the least bought secret lairs usually hold more value since they're more scarce and I assume not many people will buy the lotr one.
I really love the art on the goblin one. I'll probably pick it up because I always find a home for my gobbos in decks.
Mark Riddick's secret lair is by far my favorite. I love death metal and his art! I might just make a Nekusar deck now with this secret lair.
Food for thought ,take with grain of salt. Lotr lair might have something special of value as bonus card? But could not😒then would just be rude. Also really not happy with the art they chose theres really really epic snapshots of art they could have used and picked different cards to fit artwork, im a huge Bakshi fan to so i really want to shake someone at wizards, and didnt need to be cards from this set either, its does feel abusive and low effort for no reason. The metal art one is awesome wish was a little more value there also i dont understand. The goblins art is garabe , sorry….jk not sorry. The car one is cool art wish more value. Lands one looks awesome foil. Other two are the worst. If were to get any definitely go foil. I havent really been giving wizards money though for a while now cause they just dont really get good business, ive been for quite a while now comparing their tactics to that of a sleezy car sales person. They want to get over on people. It goes on and on actually. Like most likely the one of one ring being in collector bundle. The deceptive marketing and labeling and packaging at times. The too many variants. The over printing of card runs, the too many variants. The over charging by what id argue as a solid 25-50% depending on the product. Its become old and tiresome. But hey i dont have to buy right? Not all products are for everybody, i get it. Just sucks when its something you really really would have wanted to get and could but mark was missed so hard feels like youd be betraying your own intelligence and dignity and self respect if did.
The Ralph Bakshi Lord of the Rings one just makes me sad. Best in terms of concept while worst in terms of actual execution. I don't even care if the cards themselves are bad but why wouldn't you do more iconic scenes or the Fellowship or something like that. It feels like they just chose random stills other than for Slip on the Ring.
Art is great the value is not there on these drops at all.
Less the art for LOTR, probably the worst secret lair by far.
As a frequent buyer of Secret Lair from Cute to Brute, to Transfomers to Street Fighter, I must say I am really glad with this Secret Lair series for Summer 2023. Because none of the cards entices me and I get to save some money for the next 60 days.

Fyi goblins foil vers are non-standard foil. Its "rainbow foil" whatever that means
Only getting Twilight Prophet on secondary market to keep vampire collection complete.
Also the Lord of the Rings one is the biggest letdown. Should’ve been 9 different screen grab cards of the Nazgul.
