Our Elden Ring Impressions After Playing Dozens of Hours | Breakout

This week on Breakout we discuss our thoughts on Elden Ring, the next game from From Software which takes the “Souls” formula into a new open world setting. We’ve spent dozens of hours playing the game over the past week and are ready to share our thoughts on it.

Featuring Nick Calandra, Marty Sliva and KC Nwosu, the freeform podcast dives into a bit of our daily lives, the latest games, movies, tv shows and books, the occasional craft beer review and random topics we find interesting.

New episodes every Wednesday morning from 9 AM to 10:00 AM CT.

  1. Here's a thought: I'm not saying this game isn't deserving of the praise it's getting but do you think that it received so many 10/10 scores because the reviewers were scared of the fanbase reaction if it didn't get high scores?

  2. Ooh another shill company for Eldon Ring, FromSoft don't care how much you suck them off and no one is here for you…people will get their info from long term DS fans, not part timers who jump on bandwagons

Lads and ladesses the day is coming along us and I'm not the only one who can say I've shed tears seeing this day come and begin here through this great journey from the great hollowing to the age of leaks to the content golden age I'm happy to see what has come of what some thought was a mere myth rejoice for what others shunned us for not believing has come to bring us from gaming's darkest hour from devs who would lie to us cheat us and crush our faith in them for selfish greed REJOICE OOOHHH ELDEN LORDS FOR SOON WELL BE BATHING IN THE LIGHT OF GRACE ONCE AGAIN

  4. The fun part about Elden Ring was watching all of my friends who play Souls getting very quiet for the entire day it came out and then breathe a massive collective sigh of relief when the reviews came out an it turned out it wasn't secretly a huge bug-ridden mess. There was no reason to particularly expect it but I have been playing games too long to have anything but the total opposite of hype for every release.
